"He is more annoying than Carville and Bagala put together."

Come on - you've got to be joking. You must be a moderate.

He's always forthright when he's a guest on O"Reilly or H&C and you'll never hear him utter G-damn ala Carville. I know a lot of people have made G-damn a part of their standard vocabulary but I cringe every time I hear it.

What are we coming to when Christian pastors are not allowed to criticize heathen religions?

Sheeeeesh!

I'm hoping he was asked nicely to not upset the masses...yet. We probably don't need the extra problems right now and him making anti-muslim statements right now can't be helping. Timing is everything.

He's old. He doesn't want to speak out anymore. He doesn't want to be killed.

Does anybody besides me think that there's something cheesy about this whole business?

1. Bush receives Congressional authority to remove Saddam.

2. Around the same time, bad stuff starts happening all over the place: in Finland and Bali, suburban Maryland and Kuwait, in Israel and off the coast of Yemen. We don't know that all these are Al Qaeda- or Iraq-related, but does anyone really doubt that some, probably most, of them are? And of course all the appeasers can now say: "See, just like we said, we need to take, oh, ten or fifteen years to mop up Al Qaeda before we even think about Iraq.

3. Then "spontaneous" Muslim street violence is "triggered" in multiple places by something Jerry Fallwell said on a television show. Do you believe that? (If so, I'd like to show you some bridge property in Brooklyn -- I can cut you a real deal on it.) Of course the Left swallows it whole -- any stick will do to beat Falwell. We will now doubtless have a whole news cycle in which the torture of two year-olds in Iraq will be forgotten as the media have the vapors over Fallwell's insensitivity.

This looks like Michael Ledeen country to me -- it makes more credible his claim that all these terror-groups work together, regardless of ideological differences. The name of the game now seems to be distraction and intimidation.

One more point: Can you imagine deadly riots in the American Bible Belt because some tasteless poseur displayed a crucifix in urine? .... Oh, that happened, didn't it -- and there were no riots. And can you imagine the media reaction when the very first Christian rioter tossed the first pebble?

By jumping on Fallwell's case, the NCC and all the other PC enforcers are in effect cooperating in the imposition of sharia in the United States. Whatever anyone thinks of Falwell's remarks, why should Mohammed be the only religious figure who cannot be criticized in public?

"Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on Wednesday condemned the remarks as encouraging violence."

Right. Like holy men all over Iran aren't teaching "Death to America and the Great Satan."

All these bombing from the religion of peace were going to happen. But now, they get to blame Falwell instead of Bush. Bush would have been able to draw sympathy and support from the american public in response to the worldwide troubles. Falwell can not. He's a bad spokesman.

Do you think the "Bulls Eye" that was just painted on his chest by an Iraqi cleric has anything to do with this apology?

How come the thug side of the equation gets to talk about us in the vilest, most hateful, untrue terms, and when one of ours (like Falwell) says something that is at worst arguable, we end up apologizing?

I'm sure I'm about to cross the violence threshhold, so I'll shut up before I get banned...

The comments angered Muslims around the world, triggering Hindu-Muslim clashes in western India on Friday and Saturday that left at least nine people dead.

They can't be serious? They are blaming the Hundi-Muslim clashes on Jerry Fallwell's remarks? I didn't know he was so popular in Western India.

Jerry Falwell Apologizes for Mohammed Criticism

--------------------------

Dear Dr., Reverand, pastor, or whatever you call yourself, Falwell,

Kindly have the guts to stick with the truth once you have accidently uttered it.

Sincerely,

RLK

When an American with the balls to say what Falwell said, that's news.

After all the Indians are sick of Bush's B.S. religion of peace mantra, Powell's moderate Talibans, the entire US elite and media types praising a lying jihadi like Musharraf and collectively kissing islamic saudi arse.

Of course it gets noticed.

You've got to be kidding!! One may not like what Falwell says from time to time, but, at least he tries to do what's right. These two Clintonoids live under rocks and don't have ANY integrity or sense of fair play at all. They're slime of the worst kind. There's no comparison.

This "extremely imprudent man" is imprudent because he speaks the truth, rather than the PC standard rap. Wish there were more imprudent men out there that would speak the truth rather than the deception.

STOP APOLOGIZING!!! JUST STOP IT!!!

Franklin Graham didn't apologize. A man of honor.

Islam is an evil cult of murder, death and conquest. The fatwas and deadly riots just confirm Islam's violent nature.

There is no need to apologize. In less than a week, Rev. Falwell has been proven correct by the Islamofascists themselves.

I say this he was on with a muslim cleric. The Cleric never once defended Mohomad. He said he was a military leader.

I think if lives are saved by an apology that people were offended I have no problem with it. It proves just what a horrible religion Islam is even today. Critize us and we will kill you.

Excellent post. My family and I were just discussing this at dinner, all in agreement that every event you mentioned was coordinated, all around the anniversary week of the USS Cole.
