What townsend fails to say is that with a solidly democrat legislature and a democrat gov and lieutenant gov., they allowed this to happen. Instead of blaming republicans, NRA, or lack of gun laws, they can only blame themselves. Or maybe they should blame the real culprit, the shooter.

That would require sanity and logical thought. We're talking about Kookie Katie and Spendenning, here.

You fail to understand the Socialist worldview. Human beings are these lifeless clay figures into which the State breathes life. If the people misbehave, then obviously the State's Social Engineering has failed and must be modified.

Socialists have a mystical belief in legislation. Like the ancient Egyptian priests, they believe that if only they can speak the right incantation, pass the right bill, all will be right in the world.

A truly despicable view of humanity.

What the Maryland shooter has displayed is a cunning for escape and evasion and a steady hand while holding the sights on flesh and pulling the trigger.

He's also displayed an appalling, casual disregard for human life. What ever his skills at fieldcraft and marksmanship, he's no sniper. He's a terrorist and a murderer.

I'm sick of the presstitutes calling this foul creature a sniper. Carlos Hathcock was a sniper. This guy's a murdering sack of $#!+.

Hmmm, I think I called him a "shooter." I use the term "sniper" in a strict military sense. The pressitites will use the most shocking term imaginable. When have they ever been a stickler for correct terminology?

Although careful not to appear to be making political hay of the carnage, Mrs. Townsend nonetheless quipped not-so-elliptically the other day that there must be a new debate "about how best to protect our citizens," and that existing gun control laws "save lives."

How 'bout promoting concealed carry so Marylanders can hunt this b@st@rd down!

And we all know how Arlington, Virginia has the country's highest murder rates, while Maryland and DC are practically murder-free!

Just as a note, the Post has an editorial today indicating how easy it would be to purchase a weapon of the type used in these killings. For example, it could have been purchased at a gun show in Virginia with no background check at all.

Doesn't Virginia's Project Exile law forbid the transporting of a gun out of state, however?

Ladies & gentlemen, I ask you what's the difference between a Remington 700 sniper rifle and a Remington 700 deer rifle? Ans: Nothing whatsoever. We've been predicting for years that "deadly, precision long range scoped sniper rifles" would be next...

Yeah, we gotta ban these! We can't have our tyrants being threatened by peasants with precision weapons! </SARCASM>

But the bottom line, IMO, is that there is no meaningful difference between a military sniper's rifle and Joe Sixpack's deer rifle. The sniper's weapon is simply more refined. (And the sniper is a much better shot.)

We cannot have our politicians being vulnerable to snipers like the peasants are! After all, they're more equal than the rest of us! sarcasm

No. Project Exile is a snitch-line for turning in 'prohibited persons' who have guns.

AS, "Breathes life", and ALL knowledge. The only source. Well done! And indeed, "A truly despicable view of humanity." Peace and love, George.
