Fine by me, too!
Can you please explain in 100 words or less how this means that "the United Nations has control of our educational system"? Thank you.
Immediately following the announcement, UNESCO Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura "warmly welcomed" the news and pledged his "full commitment" to reintegrating the United States into the agency's work
We are rejoined to UNESCO

President Ronald Reagan realized the dangers of UNESCO=(United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and got us out. We are now back in this organization, therefore controlled by this organizations ideals and policies.
Washington to Rejoin UNESCO After Nearly 18 Years
The N.E.A. has been carrying on UNESCO's ideals, politics and policies, all along. So logically, we have always been controlled by the U.N.'s educational ideals. The U.S. Rejoining UNESCO; along with the NEA hold on our education system, has the United Nations front and center in the control driver seat.
President Bush ) said on Thursday the United States would rejoin the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural arm nearly 18 years after pulling out.
The United States pulled out of UNESCO in December 1984, complaining of wasteful bureaucracy and a Third World bias.
Bottom line we were sold out.We compromised as a country, to brown nose Kofi Annan to LET US DEFEND ourselves in Iraq. This broke the fine line of politics and selling this nation out.
We should have never, ever, been put in the position to begin with to have to beg anyone.. NATO,the U.N., on our foreign policy and military offense or defense.
I say have some fun and triangulate. (It'll highlight their corruption!)
If Kofi and Clinton want a world government, then agree but insist on standards for membership. (Otherwise, it's regressive.)
- A bill of rights modeled after our own (including gun ownership)
- Explicit limits on government (better than our own)
- Representative democracy
- UN representation according to GDP
- Divided government
- Equality under the law
RE: post 80,I stated...
"Your ideals are torn apart... as the International Criminal Court is up and running. You can't give the powers that be ideals...LOL how dare you!"
You replied...
If you assemble dis sentences your, do you think that people presume intelligence will?
What I meant was that even in parody/joke of 'your ideals' they are torn apart and won't work as the International Criminal Court is up and running...so 'how dare you; :-) usurp their rules and laws without being thrown in jail.
I am so sorry I had to break-down to explain, it is no longer funny when you have to explain.
Sorry, there are a few lunatics on this forum, and it's a challenge to separate vague shorthand comedy from psychosis. I'll remember your style next time.
Ideas don't control people. The NEA may control education and be led by UNESCO, but the case isn't made that it's controlled. Bush's vague announcement that we're returning to UNESCO may make us more vulnerable to some kind of real control, or it may not. From what you've told me, there's no abdication of control.
