Christians in any high-profile position are going to be judged more stringently because they are in a place where they will have more effect on souls.
If you are shooting for a position of influence in ANY sphere...you need to have your act together more than the "little people".

you need to have your act together more than the "little people". Therein lies the problem. Christians never seem to agree on just what exactly defines "together".

judged more stringently because they are in a place Who places them in that "Place"?
Humans want to worship something. The old gods of Baal are dust and we have erected new idols.....entertainers.
When we change our focus to where it belongs.....all this other tabloid junk holds no meaning any longer.

Christians have difficulty when they are attacked by evil - whether it is vile human beings, their own lusts and appetites, or demons. Christians can't be possessed the way pagans can, but can be oppressed and influenced. Pride can slither in, you can begin to believe too much in your own goodness, and you fall. That said, just because someone says/thinks they are the real thing, doesn't mean they are. L.R. Shelton worked as a Baptist minister for 25 years before he was saved. When you're a Christian, the Holy Spirit lets you know when something you are contemplating is wrong, and if you go ahead anyway, the pain that comes afterwards convinces you that "it ain't worth it." That said, Christians can be "not super nice people." I've read that a guy once asked a famous evangelist for his daughter's hand in marriage. He responded "absolutely not." The young man said "You don't think I'm good enough for her?" The evangelist responded "She isn't good enough for you." The young man said "But, isn't she a Christian?" "Yes, but God can live with people nobody else can."
