Exactly correct. The problem is the two Big Government parties which seem to be in charge of everything.
Smaller, less-instrusive, less-expensive government since the '94 pubbie "revolution"? Nope. Bigger, more intrusive, much more expensive. What the hell is that about?
We either hang together, or we hang seperately. Familiar words ? I hope so. They also make a lot of sense. The Dems, for all of their squabbles, pull together in the end. They have patience and don't, like spoiled brats, demand change immediately. These are traits which Republicans and to a greater extent, Conservatives, of every stripe, need to emulate. Here's another familiar sentimentt ..." YOU'RE EITHER WITH US, OR AGAINST US." That applies to how all of us need to view those who refuse to vote for and help to get a GOP majority in both Houses. The president's hands are tied without this ; his and our desires are hampered to nonexistance, because he doesn't have this majority.
Want a Conservative majority on the Supreme Court ? We aren't going to get that, nor most of the things we all yearn for, without having a solid majority in both Houses.
That 1/2 a loaf IS better than none and that 1/2 a glass of whatever, will keep you from dying of dehydration. Don't cut of your collective noses, to spite your faces ! Shop worn, tired, but TRUE old saws. They would never have become " old saws ", if the words weren't true and the message didn't wear well, through the test of time.
