Teacher Gets Probation in Sex Case

in the city where I live a man who was 28 and a teacher had a similar relationship with a 14 year old female student. They ran off together just like in this article. They intended on marrying one another. The teacher was going to drop his wife. He went straight to jail. However, he had to serve 8 years before he got out. Then, when he got out, the young woman, who was 21 by then and studying law, decided to stage a media protest against him. She successfully convinced the government to go and get that ex-teacher and send him back to jail for a few more years even though he'd already served what they said originally he had to serve. The man had two daughters and a wife who stayed loyal to him, they patched their marriage up. The daughters were deprived of a father.

If a male teacher had done this with a female student he would not get a suspended sentence. He would serve hard time starting yesterday.

The double standard is pretty clear and evidenced regularly with these cases.

Maybe, maybe not. Some people take relationships between adult males and minor females pretty lightly. Especially if they are "really in love." I know of at least one case where a high school teacher married one of his students right out of high school. They had already had a long relationship in high school that they kept under cover.

Society has come to condone adult minor relationships. As I understand the numbers, the younger an unwed, pregnant girl is, the older the father is likely to be. The father in a substantial number of teen/minor pregnencies is a legal adult (and I don't mean 19, but mid twenties and on.)

A male molesting a minor male, or a female molesting a minor female would get the harsest treatment in court.
