BREAKING: 7:00 pm Thursday - MCBRIDE just gave his acceptance speech on only one local Tampa Bay station wtvt Fox Ch. 13. I might have been the only person from here who saw it and my mom called me to watch it. Maybe it's posted on their web site.
This is McBride's campaign strategy: 1. I'M A NICE GUY. 2. PLEASE GOVERNOR BUSH, DON'T ATTACK ME ANY MORE AND LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT THE PAST. YOU WERE MEAN TO ME, JEB BUSH. 3. ATTACK GOVERNOR BUSH AND LIE about CUTTING, CUTTING, CUTTING.
Please pass this on, copy and paste this and tell people what we've got to look forward to. This is what McLawyer will say in a town near you. He's miscalculated how many Floridians think Jeb's a great Governor and not showing an ounce of respect for the Office.
Before that, he name dropped a fireman who died in the Towers and name dropped his machine gunner from Vietnam who lost a leg (just like election night). He's shameless and tacky and he didn't give any "specifics" except that he is aggressively going after Jeb. Clinton lessons? Probably.
If you aren't supposed to be on my ping list, please advise by bumping this to the top. I try to remove a name immediately but stuff happens. And everyone else on the USA-Florida ping list, hang in there with me until November. I promise low volume and am retiring this list after Jeb wins re-election! Yay! FV

This is interesting that he decided to give an acceptance speech before Reno concedes. His campaign previously announced he would not do that, and would first wait for Reno's concession speech. So much for that idea, I guess.

Great, a lawyer in the Klintoon tradition. Just what we need to watch and listen to on our televisions for the next 60 days. I think I'm going to stock up on air sickness bags.

Well, at least he was only on one station and he summed up very nicely for us what his campaign is going to be about until he loses in November. Yes, it's always disgusting to listen to people lying and waging personal attacks.
All Floridians should want to get the vote out for Jeb. I could say more but I don't want to help the man if any of his goons are lurking here.
To: summer
It's my guess that he couldn't wait any longer because they "are going to put their jeans on and wear them all over the State" to lie to Floridians. LOL

Thanks for the ping, FV; this is the first time I've heard of McBride's acceptance speech.
If Reno is planning on challenging the election, this might prompt her to start some action on it soon. This should either force her to concede or fight. I'm hoping for a nasty fight!

I'm hoping for a nasty fight! Reno can't face the humiliation of losing to a nobody so that is why she is dragging her feet on conceding.

Exactly. The local Fox affiliate was the only station who carried McLawyer's acceptance speech. That's why I jumped on it. Sometimes I do new threads but this thread's a fine place for McBride's acceptance speech summary without giving him extra publicity here at FR.

Hey, has anyone noticed that the three districts that seem to have the voting problems (Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward) are the SAME three districts that had the problem in the Presidential election?
Looks to me like no matter HOW they try, no matter what stunts the Dems pull, people keep voting Republican, dag nabbit...we gotta recount AGAIN!
Only in this case, we've got McLawyer The Clown on one hand, and "Waco Barbecue" Reno on the other.
Personally, it would have been interesting to see Reno win...it would have been easier for Jeb to beat her. All he'd have to do is televise the taped burning of Waco, with a voice-over of any Floridians killed, and a truthful (and highly damning) listing of those responsible, with Janet Reno at the TOP of that list.
With Barbecue Beotch out of the running, McLawyer might draw the sympathy vote. I think Jeb will beat him because Jeb's a REAL Governor, not a talking head with his puppet strings showing.
But hey, that's just an opinion.

Reno blamed Bush for "abdicating" his responsibilities in the voting precincts debacle, hoping, I suppose, that viewers are
too stupid to realize that Jeb has nothing to do with running the polls in Democratic Party controlled Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
TV reporter Michael Putney set the record straight immediately, however. He said Florida's Secretary of State offered to help to Leahy (Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections), and Oliphant (Broward Supervisor of Elections) last week and was told that no help was needed.

I still say that if Reno and McBride are still gonna argue about which of them won the DemocRATic nomination, let 'em duel it out with pistols. Put it on "pay per view" -- I've got my credit card and VCR ready.
That said, I read today in the SHT that McBride has been declared the winner by FL SoS Jim Smith, and that "Education" is going to be the primary focus of debate between McLawyer and Jeb. So, summer, you have your work cut out for you, since you're the definite expert on this particular subject -- please keep Jeb and little ol' us'ns informed and erudite on this "issue"!

'process ownership' I'm scared to think what this might mean.

A wise decision to stay on my ping list. I've given information to the Reno Campaign about McBride. It appears that Janet is is writing to ALL on her supporter email surveying if they had voter problems.
I took it to another level, skipping her form. McBride's done other things that shall remain off the record. If it comes out in public or Court, I'll do a thread. But, that could be a few weeks away.

You better believe it.... I think Bill Daley and Carville helped McLawyer over in Miami-Dade and Broward. What does help consist of? Your guess is as good as mine.
Jeb's going to win in November in any event. But, we'll all be sick to our stomachs until November and then if Jeb is challenged after he wins the election. (Oh, and headaches too). FV

Thanks !

The thing that makes me sick is the fact that the Democrats are using Florida as their test site, watch for this type of screwup and challenges to start going to other states...
