To some, the "enviornment" is a religion.

And if fire passes through the area, what becomes of the fly-eating Cobra lily?
It may be reduced to eating only toasted flies, and who knows what that will do to its delicate digestive system. Stopping a fire is nasty business, and perhaps this fire should not be stopped. I'm not sure I want a fly-eating Cobra lily for a neighbor anyway.

But when fire officials suggested doing that through the 818-acre site, Forest Service ecologist Tom Atzet urged them to look elsewhere.Time for tom aztet to suit up. Hand him a shovel and let him pick the spot.
Make sure he has a good meal of spotted owl, red leg frogs, and some Cobra lily on the side...wouldn't want him to faint from hunger...(or fear, while he's trying to fight a major fire and staying alive at the same time).

I wonder how much of this enviro-nazi mandated obstruction has hampered firefighting efforts in the massive Oregon (AZ and CO as well) blazes?
Wouldn't it be cool to tally up the cost of lost property, lumber, camping fees resulting from firefighters having to "be environmentally sensitive" and present that bill at a press conference to the offices of the enviro-nazies at the World Wildlife Foundation and Sierra Club?
Wouldn't it be great to see those responsible for this life and property threatening regulations be perp walked?
