Notice that the Environmentalists all go into the woodwork while Oregon and other forests burn.

Someone should give them a pencil and paper and ask them to write a summary of how many board feet of timber were lost, how many animals were lost and last (yes we're last in their book) but not least, how many men were lost in these fires this year (and submit it to Congress).

Now, about global warming....

Now, about looking at our forests.

Take them all out in the woods, make them clean and replant the trees we have lost, make them attend the funerals of the firefighters, post pictures of homes which have burnt down.

This group needs some straightening out.

The National Fire Information Center reports 5 million acres have burned in the country this year, including more than 715,000 acres in Oregon. U.S. Forest Service Chief Dale Bosworth said the fires have cost $325 million to fight.

$325 million is probably close to the figure ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS HAVE GIVEN DEMOCRATS.

5 million acres is only 1 million less than the enviro-nazi Clintonistas bragged about putting totally off-limits to logging, roads, brush clearing, etc. And the fire season is far from over.

These Alqueda tree hugging sucker fish worshippers have deluged all of Southern Oregon with smoke. They've burned more "old growth" timber than any lumber company could've dreamed of doing.

I hope they find the charred remains of several tree sitters who were too stoned to leave the forest.

While it is true that the enviro-wackos forced a stupid agenda which made the forests a tinderbox and ready for a match, other Oregon practices, many voted in by other liberal-wackos placed Oregon in the hot seat for the judgment of God.  To name a few, Oregon's liberal abortion stance, preferential homosexual rights agenda, assisted suicide, and even the despicable treatment of Brian and Ruth Christine while the sodomites still control the court system and the child services section.

When Judgment falls, it typically falls on the old, the young, the middle aged, the rich, poor and the middle guy.  It affects everyone, just as these fires have done.  Oregon needs to clean up more than its environmental issues.  It needs to find a moral center instead of continuing an anti-Christ one.

No joke! I have no sympathy for the tree-sitter that fell 150 feet out of a tree a few months ago. Bunch of idiots.

We stayed in Grants Pass Friday night on our way here to Vancouver, WA. It was really hot (although Grants Pass in August is usually hot anyway), and there was some smoke, but it wasn't as bad along the I-5 as we had feared it would be.

What a shame to see this happening in this beautiful state of Oregon. When we were heading up through the Valley of the Rogue, I was trying to imagine what all those beautiful trees West of the I-5 would like like completely burned out, and it's just devastating to contemplate.

The smoke here in Grants Pass varies from day to day. In the morning the smoke lays low, spreading out during the day as wind and temperatures work on it. Some days it is hard to see mountains a mile away the smoke is so thick.

Coming back to Grants Pass this morning from Lake Selmac ( 8:30 a.m.) I noticed the fire near Galice was causing a lot of smoke already in Grants Pass.

It has been smokey in Eureka for several days from the fires north of us but it is even heavier today. Lots of ash also. The winds are N/NE.

Biscuit, formerly Florence (Siskiyou National Forest): 333,891 acres at 25 percent contained. This fire is burning on both sides of the California-Oregon border 26 miles southwest of Grants Pass. The fire continued to burn actively. The voluntary evacuation of Gasquet, Calif., was lifted. The Illinois River Valley remains under an evacuation advisory and Cave Junction, Kerby, Selma, Agness, Gardner Ranch and McCaleb Ranch are threatened.
