Fair enough, we have different evaluations.

As to switching to CNN, maybe you missed it earlier, but after saying they would stay on air until the conclusion, FNC switched to a pre-taped Cavuto show. Then they were the last to come back on air when news broke that the drill had finished the hole, then again they were the last back on the air when word came that the men were still alive(FNC doing a story on Heidi Fleiss!). Then more technical problems and Geraldo doing some over the top schtick, while CNN was doing a pretty decent job with their reporter. FNC caught up as the evening went on, but at the critical moments they really dropped the ball.

A good comparison, at least for me, would be when, at the critical moment, on the steps of the SCOTUS, Rita Cosby gave the wrong verdict....then quickly, and somewhat sadly, corrected herself.

But.....you're right. Fox got better as the evening went on.

To #958. I agree with you about the slow start FOX had. They should have bumped Cavuto. But CNN had some technical problems too. Fox did do a lot better as time went on. Try doing extemporaneous talking head stuff for hours on end like Geraldo and Rick did. Not easy. Also, Geraldo was very much in patriotic mode tonite, making tons of comments of how this would be a morale booster for the country, etc. Geraldo ain't poifect, but he still chose to go to FOX to work, so he ain't dumb.
