Oh please, just have them print a retraction, accompanied with an apology.

NAMI also is investigating potential legal action Legal action? For being tasteless?
To: Paul Atreides
It appears they already did print an apology. I guess they weren't sincere enough.

Does this mean that the left wing press has a sense of humor?

"Legal action? For being tasteless?" Exactly. The Trentonian deserves jeers. And so would a lawsuit mounted by the crushed nuts...

Ok, I'm sorry but that headline - though one of the most incredibly un-pc I've EVER seen, made me LMAO.

Aren't these the same whining liberal Socialists who demanded, screamed for these "mentaly ill, distressed, misunderstood, over-sedated, treated like chickens in a henhouse", etc., etc., to be "set free" and turned out onto the streets of any and every city of the country to give them more "self-esteem"?

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act and potentially other federal and state laws, the headline provides prima facie evidence of a hostile work environment for people with mental illnesses or their family membersThis claim is a threat to freedom of speech. By the same logic, an employee could sue for a hostile work environment if a conservative newspaper printed a series of editorials lambasting sexual harrassment lawsuits. It is hard to convey (well, maybe not to hard to convey for this audience) how big and bad a step it would be to punish newspapers for creating a hostile work environment with their stories.
Of course, it's tempting to think how this could be used to clean up every smutty magazine in America ;-)
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Since they all got out it would be more appropriate to say "Smoked Nuts".

Dark humor. Insensitive? Yes. Criminal? No.

I mean this is funny. In my mind I guessed what this article was going to say before I read it. I couldn't believe I had the same sick mind of the reporter covering the story. But I had to admit, twas a intresting coinage of words to events.
To: IronJack
A very good reply. Funny: yes (still laughing) Criminal: no way
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Their apology should have been headlined: "Sorry I Hurt Your Nuts"

Either that, or their response should be to quote that general at Bastonge - a one word reply to a demand to 'surrender' - "Nuts!"

Hah -- good one. You may have a future at The Trentonian -- looks like there will be an opening there soon!!! First anthrax, now fire in the loony bin -- a great time to be in Trenton.
