Illinois' Carol Mosely Braun holds that "honor."Double oops. I try to forget Ms Bosely Braun. Let me give it one more try.
I have to say that I would believe massive lying to pollsters before I would believe that Texas will be the first state of the old Confederacy to elect a black liberal Democrat United States Senator.

Ms Bosely Braun. I told you I try to forget her. It is Mosely Braun.

The question is did the Poll get released for participation in English and Hispanic? Maybe we need to tune to Telemundo to find out what the illegal alien voters are thinking? The dems will try to have all of the illegal aliens voting like in California for Clinton in the last Presidential race. Ops4

Bush had the support of hispanics who are Americans and have been since before most of our ancestors came to these shores. They are a very different breed than the new voters and I believe their will be wide-spread voter fraud.
Also Mr. Sanchez also 'didn't see anything unusual about people bringing 10's of million's of dollars in case across the border and putting it in his S&L'. Some of his employees were charged, but he was not touched.
Now since we really have no choice, I hope Perry wins, but he is not a favorite with me.
He signed the 'hate crimes' bill, which is just assinine. This was done after someone painted a swastika on Mayor Kirk's church in Dallas. I never heard who did this.
He signed the bill that stole all the underground water from the citizens of this state.
He signed the bill that states only a licensed, master plumber can do plumbing in this state. This essentially puts any small plumber, who can't afford the license, out of business and makes the son-in-law who fixes grannie's leaky faucet a lawbreaker.
I have no idea what else as I really don't pay that much attention to state politics, just when something jumps at me. I no longer read the Dallas Morning News since I was bombarded with 'poor Arabs' for days on end and on the editorial page once I counted 4 editorials about the harsh treatment the Arabs were receiving at the hands of racist Americans.

Yeah, I still remember the NAACP smearing Bush by implying that he personally dragged James Byrd behind the pickup truck......... That same blood was smeared on the Republican Houston mayoral candidate, Orlando Sanchez in the last election.
Terry McAwful (King 'Rat) came down to Houston to personally help the encumbant democrat retain the non-partisan office. Scampaign tricks included a vigorous "knock-and-drag" campaign (coming by the same houses 3 times on election day, hard to resist that kind of pressure) and charges of racism (odd as they were cast at what would have been Houston's first Hispanic mayor; I guess that wasn't racism because the dems were just trying to keep the first time Hispanic voters on the plantation voting for demorats, not Republicans). There was also some proven fraud in the vote.
I'd expect all of the same from the McAwful Group in this election, except on a larger scale. As this poll considered likely voters to be those who voted in one of the last 2 cycles, it omits a lot of potential first time voters. I don't want this to be a sucker punch to assure the Republicans that there will be enough voters "who agree". The only way to reduce the impact of fraudulent tactics is to be sure to go and vote. Vote early if you don't know if you'll be able to find your precinct on election day.
I'd expect some delays on election day (at least here in Houston) as it will be the first time that many voters see the new electronic ballot boxes.

The poll of 1,066 Texans who voted in at least one of the last two general elections was conducted May 7-13 Thus, the sample probably underrepresents Hispanic and black turnout.
Given that the last election was a Presidential one, I would doubt it.

No, it is very possible that Sanchez will draw Hispanic voters who have never voted before. If you look at county turn-out numbers, some of the Hispanic counties have truly pitiful voter turnout. There are lots of untapped votes for him. Still, Perry is in a better position than I thought he would be right now.
To: Zack Nguyen
I'm not arguing that. I'm simply relying on history, which say Presidential elections are much more likely to draw out first time voters than off-year elections.

But, the poll did not include the millions of Mexicans on both sides of the border who will vote in the election. A Mexican can cross over into El Paso and make 25 pesos a vote. He could go home with 400-500 pesos in his pockets. The dems pay much better in California I don't know about California but I would assume you have proof of that in regards to Texas?

Latest Poll by Montgomery & Associates (D) on TX senate race
John Cornyn (R) 46%, Ron Kirk (D) 44%............
This is a turn around for Cornyn in the RAT poll...in last poll by Dallas news......Kirk was 43% vs Cornyn 39%....

Maybe now some folks will finally believe that the Dems can steal TX. This is the third statistical dead heat poll on this race that I've seen. But I imagine the White House and all its resources will weigh in heavily before this is over.
Phil Gramm will be one unpopular fella if this seat goes Dem.

This race will be close....looks like Cornyn has made a turn round.....also remember this is a RAT Polling Company....based out of Austin, TX...they Love Kirk.....I would say he is up by 4-5% not 2%...but it's still close......
at the end Cornyn should pull it ..................I would have been more worried if this poll still showed Cornyn behind Kirk.........Kirk is stuck between 42-44% range and Coryn has moved from 39% to over 45% range..

Yeah, I went onto the Dallas Morning News site and got the details. Thanks. 1066 registered (maybe likely) voters, 3% MOE. Conducted May 7-13th.
The point I find interesting is the large discrepancy between Pubbie Perry's 25-point lead and Pubbie Cornyn's dead heats. Maybe some TX FReepers can say if there's some real problems for Cornyn or what.

Here is my take on this polls by Jeff Montgomery of Austin, a Democratic consultant and pollster ...
He hates Tony the Tiger...He didn't hire him.....but likes Kirk.............

But two other polls by Blum, Weprin & Associates (who also conducted a poll showing a 14-point Perry lead) essentially mirror this one.

It has been said that Sanchez has a draft board record similar to the Toon's. Supposedly he is a draft dodger. If you think Sanchez is a "conservative", he isn't. Just another race hustling RAT trying to fool the voters.
