My pleasure.
How the heck can I get the Texas FReeper count UP to surpass Kalifornees?
I pinged all the Texans I could, but we only added about as many as CA did.......
California 1016
Texas 1009

I'm doing ok and not in danger, however I have quite a few friends who are not. One had a house by Lake George and he lost it. So sad, a 4,000 sq ft house in the woods and he had just put it up for sale about two weeks ago.
We have voluntary evacuations that are sometimes followed by mandatory evacuations. It is currently estimated about 10,000 families have been evacuated.
The fire has fingers growing out of it and one finger of fire is currently growing toward a heavily populated area. The good news is this morning is overcast and cool with a higher humidity which will hopefully help the efforts today.
The size of this fire is unbelievable. It stretches from a few mile south of Denver to almost to Colorado Springs.

Oh, BTW, that's a disgusting cartoon, but at least they have their clothes on. ;-)

LOL! What are you doing reading my local newspaper? I've known Chuck Asay for 20+ years. He's a great guy with a warped sense of humor and yes the smoke of even a campfire gets on your clothes and you can smell it forever.
It's interesting following a local story that I know much about and seeing what the national media is reporting. They are lazy and report data that is several days old. They're still reporting we have only lost 25 homes in this fire, but as of yeasterday it was over 70 homes. And one group of homes was in a gated community and each home was a multimillion dollar home. Twelve of those homes were totally destroyed.
Also as of yesterday 13,000 households had been evacuated. Luckily today was a good day and we have a 48 hour window of good weather forecast. Hopefully we have seen the worst of it.

I love Chuck Asay's cartoons!!!
Is it really true that a female forest ranger got a letter from her estranged husband--- set the letter on fire and threw it and caused the horrific fires?
I work alot and miss the news but hubby just told me this, is it true?
