At a rally in Trafalgar Square in London today about 50,000 people gathered from of all walks of Jewish life and including many non-Jews. Their message was 'No to Terror-Yes to Peace' and general support for Israel and victims of anti-Semitism. Besides speeches, Psalm 122 was recited and a prayer was said for the victims of terrorism.
Opposite in the main square a few hundred Palestinian sympathisers gathered to protest against Israel. They were addressed by Rabbi A Grohman of the Neturei Karta in London who called to loud cheers for an end to the Zionist state. He was accompanied by a handful of supporters.
The presence of the NK across the road reminded me of the passage in the Hagadah at the piece dealing with the evil son, 'and because he has set himself apart he has rejected the basic tenets'.
By contrast left wing supporters of Israel also stood apart from the main march and called for an end to violence on both sides but without joining the Palestinians.
It is painful to contrast these groups with the French people who put aside all their differences to oppose evil and violence.

Just so you should understand what we Jews have to put up with from our own, sometimes.
Just so no one gets the wrong idea, there are also anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox who are completely decent people awaiting the Kingdom (not secular State) of Israel when the Messiah comes. They live in New York City and are content to be patriotic Americans until then. A bit nuts from my perpective, but not a bit like these NK types.
At that, even the NK are better than the Jewish Marxists. The NK foolishly think they can live in peace as second class citizens in "Palestine" indefinitely. The Marxists want there not to be Jews.
I myself am content to be a patriotic American unless or until the Messiah orders me otherwise. I'm not holding my breath.
