It might be helpful, for the more strident among us, to look at another perspective. And that is that about 97% of the laws passed in the senate are quietly passed by vote, but are not debated. Right now Daschle is the one that controls what gets talked about. Except when Dubya upstages him.

Right now Daschle is the one that controls what gets talked about. Except when Dubya upstages him.What is obvious, is that Daschle is part of the problem. None of us like Daschle. Repeating it over and over to ourselves accomplishes nothing. What is not so easy, is to change the situation.
Best way to rectify the situation, will be to regain a majority in the Senate. That will be done, one campaign at a time.
