I don't know. Replacing the TF-33 with the F-110 was quite a job that required extensive modifications to the F-14 airframe. The mounting of the two engines is considerably different. The F-14A+ (first variant) had to go back to NY for airframe modification. The F-14D was designed for the F-110 at the very beginning. I didn't have much to do with the airframe modifications. I was one of the engine guys working the air and fuel delivery issues.
