Rusty Yates on Oprah Tomorrow
Don't pull them out!
I let my nose hair grow and now I am able to twirl it into a rather striking handlebar moustache, if I do say so myself.
Now, isn't that funny, when it's convenient for Ole Rusty, he will tell his story as he didn't notice any signs of problems with her! Sicko, he is a turd that won't go away. I bet prison looks mighty appealing to Andrea after lving with that slime!
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I needed that this early in the morning, thanks.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I haven't watched Oprah for years, but I just had to see this guy and see what he had to say....
well, it wasn't much - he's an absolute SHELL - no emotion at all....if you wonder HOW this could've happened in that sick house, you get some answers when you listen to this guy and just observe him.
Oprah gave him some incredible looks, and asked him a few tough questions, and he just doesn't react....
He talks about after the children "passed away"...and she said they were murdered, and why does he say it that way...he says, he prefers to think of them as just passing and in heaven...
He admits to being an "unemotional guy"....with a blank stare nod...when she asked him/or told him most people can't understand his reaction and has he grieved? And it seems like he skipped 4 steps of grieving and just is in either denial or acceptance - he just nods (and seems to think he's in acceptance)
He said he was never mad at Andrea(something no one can understand) and when pressed for what she's said to him since the murders... he said something like ... "well, after the children passed on, she started to tell me about some pyschotic thoughts she had have, but I didn't want to hear it...."
The thing is no one can understand this guy, he's just so inappropriate - and I'm afraid most people think there's more to him and he's not "dealing with things"...but I get this feeling there isn't much to him at all...and he played a sick role too in all of this - and he's still not taking any responsibility at all. Incredible.
I wasn't sure what to read into the pictures of the female audience (filled with what I always think of as card carrying million moron moms) tearful and shocked. I certainly hold her ANDREA - accountable for what she did, who knows what they think.......(katie colic comes to mind)
I also felt tearful and shocked like them, but I blame her (andrea) and I'm glad she's been convicted....I don't think he's equal in the murders only because so far I haven't heard him reveal HE Knew SHE was Going to DO IT and left that day ignoring her.
He is somewhat responsible though for not SEEING what was going on, and like the parent who would let a drunk spouse drive the kids somewhere - he wasn't protecting his kids from a very sick woman.
After I watched it and thought about his behaivor and affect - I am reminded of what you would see in an autistic condition - no emotion - and if ever there was a case for sheer painful emotion - it's this one. He just has none. I'm sure he's fascinating to people who are therapists etc...
There was some sick psychology in that house, because if she was such a fragile sick needy woman....she sure married someone who had no tolerance of that.
I also got more of a sick feeling watching him and how he viewed things that she killed those poor babies getting back at him.
I caught this interview too, and have to say she was a very credible person in all of this. You could see her pain and frustration about how she tried to help, and talk to Rusty who wouldn't listen.
She even thought of kidnapping her to get her help(I'm sure she wishes she did now) and she even talked to a counselor about the Yates situation, and the counselor said as long as there is a responsible adult in the home at all times with Andrea and the kids - they would be safe.
I can see why everyone can't stand Rusty Yates, it's like talking to a brick wall - even now - he just doesn't seem to deal with any of whats happened except to defer all blame from him - I can't think of anyone who was involved with these people not second guessing themselves and wishing they had done something different.... It's only normal when faced with what happened to those 5 babies.
Odd. I thought the criticism of him was that he ever allowed her to get treatment.
"I thought the criticism of him was that he ever allowed her to get treatment."
I missed that comment (was it on Oprah?)
It probably was just easier for him to ignore her when she was in the hospital.
So many people missed the boat on this one, but it's almost like Sept 11th in a way....no one expected or even imagined what was to happen.
We all have lessons to learn from this one - no one can ignore or go along with a harmful situation when children are involved.
LOL!!! He did frustrate her immensely...and she wore this cross around her neck, it almost looked like a rosary bead necklace, with the cross very prevalant.
I never watch her anymore, so I don't know if that necklace was just for "Rusty" or that's her usual fashion statement.
