You may be right about quick bloodletting, although the kosher method is slow. OTOH, if the arteries that feed the brain are severed at the neck, probably consciousness goes quickly . Is it any more horrific than the guillotine of British and French history or the swords, machetes, etc. used for the same purpose.the world over? Humans cannot claim any superiority over Muslim methods of disposal.as the history goes from stomping the dead person's body , putting a hole in it and wearing it as a conqueror's 'cape.' Thus do others need to suggest retaliation in kind to preserve this heritage? I don't think so.
