As far as his hearing, he got so many emails from people concerned about him and he wanted to explain different aspects of his treatment to people who probably have similar problems and are considering having this type of surgery.
I think it is a public service that he is talking about his hearing problem(s). I found it heartfelt that he thanked his wife for always being there for him. And, above all else, Rush is one of those rare people who loves life itself. I listen to Rush to listen to Rush, wherever he happens to end up talking about. It's kind of like hearing from a friend.
Of course, I don't listen every day because I have lots going on including this new office chair from Office Depot that is going back tomorrow. The seat isn't long enough front to back and I'd rather upgrade and get a chair I can kind of slouch in or lean back in. There is no reason for me at home to have perfect posture. There's no boss standing here dictating over my shoulder. lol I WANT TO SLOUCH. See? That's what Rush does. He tells us about himself and that is endearing.
He'll get back to politics and he did say he is not announcing when he has to spend time at the doctor because he is not milking this, just explaining this experience which involved some surgery on or near his brain. Wonder if it was tied behind his back at the time. We have to let people be themselves instead of picking them apart. Floriduh Voter
