Marc Racicot, the new chairman of the Republican National Committee, is giving punching bags a bad name. Last weekend, on his virgin voyage on the Sunday talk-show circuit (as party chairman), he got badly mauled by "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert and Democratic Party chairman Terry McAuliffe

Racicot is easily one of W.'s worst picks yet.

The sad thing is that Racicot could have easily had the Senate seat held by Max Baccus this election. Integrity, clean fighting and actual accomplishment are still valued in Montana, not in Washington.

GWB would be better off bringing Newt Gingrich out of retirement for a job which requires a pit bull.

Let's wait before making a decision. I was impressed with Racicot during the Florida recount debacle. He handled himself quite well, and did a masterful job of defending Bush before the TV cameras.
