This article points out the disadvantages of democracy. The best government of all time was outlined by our founders but frittered away when democracy was installed by corrupting the republic form of government.

It was "Democracy," as the Left uses that term today, which Madison saw as the greatest threat that he hoped the Constitution would guard us against.
It sounds as though this Professor is well focused and very sound in his treatment of the present era, and the issues on which we should all be most focused.

It started when Senators changed from being representatives of the States to elected by the people. This effectively removed the states from being able to have any effect on Federal takeover. And the endless parade of unfunded Federal regulations has never stopped.
This one popilist step has done more to destroy the freedoms in the US than any other thing.
