What's funny about this is that the son would rather that the government get the money, than poor ole ANS.....look, do the math.....a $400 million estate would be taxed at about a 60% combined rate ( fed and state)...very round figures.....but if it goes to her, it qualifies under the unlimited marital deduction....no taxes due........

it was the old codger's fortune... he could spend it on whomever he chose... and leave it to them as well... I for one would have left it ALL... lock stock and barrel to the blonde with the assets... not the brat with the covetousness of heart condition.

That anna was a gold digger can be debated with vigor till the sun dies, but the fact is the old man GAVE it to her, SHE GAVE it (whatever he wanted IT to be) to him... and junior(ette) is out in the cold. A disgruntled child of a former, likely also disgruntled spouse. TOO damn bad.

Nobody said it was fair, or even supposed to be. Too bad for the idiot brat.

Go Anna.

I've always wondered about this particular case. Did she sleep with him or just tease him? If she did, his "gifts" to her in his will speak wonders for one aspect of her assets. If she didn't... hmmmm. That's a good set of blue ones.

Who knows, but he clearly fed her well.

The 89 year old Geaser just wanted to grab all the gusto he could before he departed. It looks like he had 5 years of it. I sure wish he had kept a journal. It would have helped in allocating whatever he had, between the greedy kids and his 4 year housemate.

If she gave her ALL for him every minute of every day for 4 long years while the kids only cared about his money, THAT sure means alot.

I just wish I had enough money to throw at her to get her attention. As far as I'm concerned Anna is the cat's meow!

When I heard that the son had agreed to split dad's ashes rather than let Anna use her own discression as to their disposition, I had heard enough. Solomon couldn't have devised a better test. Sorry pup, you didn't have any more rights to the money than Anna.

As I understand it, the estate was worth billions. The fact that Anna would get a piddly $400 million out of it makes the kid look petty. Hell, give me one million and I'd be set for life.

Anna Nicole Smith saw the man for three years. He didn't just meet her and marry her a week later. He knew what he was doing and did it. A year later he died. The kid may not like it, but maritial laws being what they are, Smith deserved part of his estate.

Was she a gold digger? What if she was? If she fulfilled her part of the agreement with her husband, then she qualifies as a good wife.

Fact is, she may have slept with guards or household staff. How do we know that wasn't part of the agreement with the older man who may have felt inadequate to fulfill her needs. As long as she survived the man and he didn't complain, the son is a peckerhead for trying to stiff her. End of story!

My guess is the old guy just undressed her and looked at the goods, wishing he was about 25 years old.
