OK..so I am flirting with destroying my credibility here on FR, but I am not sure I really have any so what the...
I know all caps...bad, bad, bad...Rense.com..bad, bad, bad
But I found this interesting, especially the part where he names the names of supposed dead service men from US forces..
WE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED THAT THEY ARE CIVILIANS AND THAT NO ONE WILL HARM WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
No one on our side would do that deliberately.
Yes, at last the real war has begun.
"Allah leads us to victory!" proclaims al-Qaeda spokesman
Mohammed K. Mohammed, a spokesman for al-Qaeda, today passed on encouraging news of the war in Afghanistan.
"We called on Allah for help," said Mr. Mohammed, "and he caused several dozen bombs to go back up into the American airplanes they were dropped from. All the airplanes exploded! Many brothers witnessed this miracle. There were 12, no, um, 15 bombers downed at once. We have all the parts."
Elsewhere, valiant al-Qaeda fighters sank a U.S. destroyer that had ventured too far up a river.
"There was a U.S. destroyer that they had brought up into the Tora Bora region," an unidentified al-Qaeda fighter reported. "We were able to successfully sink this destroyer and shoot several hundred of the infidel dogs as they tried to evacuate. A few did get away. One al-Qaeda fighter was slightly wounded when he slipped and scraped his knee on a rock."
"He is much better now, though," he added.
These recent events have struck fear into the hearts of the American forces. So it would appear that the infidel dogs are in almost full retreat across the country. "Yes, it's true," proclaimed Mr. Mohammed. "I saw them with my own eyes, running and crying like children."
Please stay tuned for more exciting news tomorrow from our heroes at the front.
I used to believe the Al-Qaeda in part, thinking that no one could be so stupid as to tell a complete lie without sowing it with a grain of truth. But none of their major claims have panned out. Remember the helicopter shootdown? Remember the Special Forces guys they captured and were going to present on TV? Remember the 35 dead guys they found in a helicopter?
I waited ... and waited ... and waited ... and had to conclude it was all a crock. On the other hand, the US has admitted to casualties even when it could have concealed them (i.e. the sailor who fell overboard, the Rangers hurt in the support mission, the CIA agent killed at Mazar-e-Sharif, the blue-on-blue losses among the Special Forces). So they've "won" credibility. I think the Pentagon is following a strategy of say nothing, but never lie outright. The Al-Qaeda are following the possibility of saying anything and everything and none of it true.
Consider this interview. The interviewee had previously claimed his family was killed. Now we learn they are alive. Or maybe not. Who knows. He reportedly lost a foot, but now there is some doubt about that. Well if he can't categorically find his body parts he has a serious problem.
