Um, maybe I'm wrong here, but doesn't a fire require oxygen?

I guess that's what makes them flames of hell. They don't need no steenkin' oxygen down there.

I don't buy it. Without oxygen, how could anyone breathe down there? It would make things very uncomfortable, to say the least.
