Why would a man purchase a gun in Michigan and ship it to Lebanon, where any weapon your want, up to 23mm and RPGs, is readilly available on the street!!!
Brady Center has no shame

"For terrorists around the world, the United States is the great gun bazaar," the report said. Whoever wrote this report has little or no understanding of economics. Decent-quality firearms, which is what you'd use to fight a war, aren't exactly inexpensive in this country. In the Middle East (where the fighting is), reliable knock-offs of AK's can be had for next to nothing - not to mention lower shipping costs, no export regulations or customs to deal with, etc.
The anti-self-defense crowd are all crying in their beer b/c there are a ton of people in the US who have made their first-ever firearm purchase since 9/11. These people are also getting trained, getting CCW permits, etc. They're buying pistols for protection, not long guns for sport - and that has the anti's worried, since their focus for the past few years has been on handguns.

"Anti-gun Groups Cite Terror War in Quest for Clampdown on Gun Sales"
I guess the anti-gun groups don't understand the concept of CRIME PREVENTION.

That's strange. I don't recall anything about the 9-11 hijackers using guns.

Their whole study is garbage. What self-respecting terrorist is going to walk into a US gun show and drop $400 on a semi-automatic AK that he still needs to ship back to the Gaza Strip, Yemen, etc? Most good armaments come right out of ex-Soviet republics, at pennies on the dollar, and by the crate with zero restrictions. On top of that, you're not going to find any mortars/RPGs/mines at a gun show. (At least I don't think you will...)

But gun rights activists called the connection between gun laws and the 9/11 attacks hogwash. Andrew Arulanandam, a spokesman for the National Rifle Association, said the Brady Center was trying to exploit the attacks in order to further its political agenda of getting more gun control laws passed at a time when firearm sales are up.
When I was in NLP-sales training one of the things I learned -- albeit a logical fallacy, yet still effective, -- is that any X can cause any Y. Seems that is the only basis the anti-gunners have going for them.

This is pure sickening. The victim disarmament crowd is shameless. If these liberal fascists don't like it here why don't they just buy themselves a one way ticket to Cuba!? This is a perfect strategy for the left. The more you disarm people the more victims you create so you can justify more programs, more taxes, more police, etcetera at our expense. If Americans can take care of themselves how can they convince us that we need them? They can't its that simple. They're trying to put an end to this threat of independant Americans.

In a report released Wednesday, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence said potential terrorists are taking advantage of provisions in existing laws to purchase guns. The center claims terrorists from around the world come to the United States to amass firearms. So what are they complaining about? Wouldn't these purchases be getting guns out of the country? Previous posters are right: she ought to go to China to keep them from undermining American gun sales!!!
Would anyone be surprised to find out that Sarah Brady has body guards that use guns (like Rosie?)
These liberals are great: they fight for the Constitutional rights of non-citizen terrorists, but seek to deny the Constitutional rights of decent, law abiding U.S. citizens. I guess their terrorist friends are more deserving of the protections granted and affirmed in the Constitution!
