He said (and this is not exact) that Zell Miller sent a letter which basically told the Dems to get off John Ashcroft's back and let him do his job, that military tribunals have been used many times before and been ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court twice, and the nitpicking of Ashcroft has got to stop. Sean expressed sincere appreciation for Zell with regard to this as well as for times he has spoken out against his own party in the past.

I heard Sean discuss this today. I was wondering when Zell would be heard from. He has been quiet lately, probably because of the bipartisanship after 9/11. I was afraid dasshole had found a way to control him.
Zell has also been vocal about Abdulah Walker. He said we should strip him of his citizenship, try him and have the jury made up of the men & women he was fighting against. [paraphrased]
