That reporter is a giant puss, anyone read the part where he saved a taliban creep?

Reason number 815 why not to donate to the Red Cross...
My great uncle was a crewmember during WWII bombing missions over Nazi Germany. He frequently registered his disgust with the Red Cross because they'd charge the servicemen for coffee and donuts (even after returning from a life and death mission). He spoke very highly of the Salvation Army which gave freely to the servicemen.

I'm glad I saw the video of "Dave" talking on the radio and can say this ?journalist? quoting the conversation is full of BS. Well I mean he's lying.

Amnesty International had called for an inquiry What right does Amnesty International have to even be in a war zone or questioning what happened there. If members of the press, who are no lovers of the means necessary to wage war, can see these people are terrorists and blood thirsty why is Amnesty International even bothering.
Just a bunch of liberal peaceniks who have no idea of the reality of the situation and they should stay out.

Agreed completely. They have no more right than the Rotary Club of Oshkosh, or the Mary Kaye Club of Pomona to call for an investigation. Why does this group of do-good busy bodies get any attention at all?

I've got no truck for Al Quaeda or the Taliban. But the Red Cross was _created_ to assist prisoners of war. And that's what these guys are until they're tried and convicted.I'm going to state the obvious. They waived their prisoner-of-war status when they refused to surrender.

The father of one of my girl friends was wounded in WWII. He was in the hospital and someone from the Red Cross offered him stationery to write a letter home - then mentioned that there'd be a charge for it. We know enough about them IMO to turn away from them, after their post 9/11 behavior.

This reporter intervened to save a Taliban who was about to be attacked by the father of someone the Taliban murdered.
Question: Do you think any reporter would have lifted a finger to save any American? Would they have stood on "journalistic independence" and just taken the pictures or written the story?

I think the 84 survivors are now dead. They were beinfg held in a shipping container. Another story I saw reported that one of the prisoners set off a grenade and killed everyone inside.

Leaving a couple of the wounded and battle scarred Taliban alive will go a long way to put the exclamation point on the stories that will be told in the coming years. Just one or two is all we need I figure.
Anytime them Taliban wannabes start talking about the USA the older people will point to the one that lived through the US attacks and they will whisper, "You really want a piece of that? Well, if you do, let me tell you about .......".
