Really fascinating stuff. I've never believed that Oswald ever fired a shot. It's nice to be able to see some contemporaneous writing about all the lying crap that was going on back then in order to frame Oswald. I particularly liked the parts about the police radio stating that the initial shots came from the overpass, the gun identity switch, the paraffin test, and the release of Oswald's description prior to the cop being killed.

I dearly hope that some of the photos and videotape confiscated by the feds that day remain in existence and will be released when the rest of the file becomes public. Imagine if the Zapruder film had been confiscated as well? Sure, a gunshot from the back causes his head to go backwards - what a bunch of crap?

Study the ballistics (physics doesn't lie). The second shot went in a straight line from Oswald's position in Schoolbook Depository, through Presidents neck, then continued IN A STRAIGHT LINE ("magic bullet" is bunk) into governor in jump seat in front, & to the left, of JFK. The third bullet has some uncertainty, depending on assumption made about the angle JFK's head was leaning when struck, but either came from Oswald's position (behind & right of JFK) or from the position of a secret service guy one car back (behind & to left of JFK). Behavior of round when it "exploded" JFKs head lends some support to folks who claim it wasn't a hard-metal jacket round (Oswald's gun), but soft-metal jacket (SS gun). Plenty of stuff to get excited about with the softer sciences (who all knew Oswald, etc.) but the harder sciences support the conclusion the bullets were all fired by Oswald. Only way to dispute it is to assume the autopsy x-rays were falsified, etc. which would be a secret I'd say (as a gov't employee w/ access to other types of secrets) would never stay secret, since nothing else does.

Kennedy asassination has simple explanation. Robert Kennedy went after the mob as AG. The mob helped John get elected. Bobby would not back down. Mob killed his brother for not reeling him in. Foreign mobsters were intimately involved. Then they eventually got his brother too. Moral of story. Don't get involved with the criminal underworld. They are nasty boys.

For what they are worth, two brief personal stories regarding the day Ruby shot Oswald.

My father, a one-time criminal defense attorney and former associate of Clarence Darrow, was watching as Oswald was shot. His immediate remark was, "This is a conspiracy."

My future wife's family had for lunch that day a defense lawyer named Dann who routinely defended Mafia people and personally knew Ruby. When he heard on TV that Jack Ruby had shot Oswald, his immediate remark was, "The mafia had to be involved in Kennedy's murder."

At the last minute the Secret Service changed a small part of their plans so that the President left Main Street and turned into Houston and Elm Streets. Why was the President’s route changed at the last minute to take him past Oswald’s place of work?"

This one statement needs to be examined very closely. At the very least, there needs to be proof to back it up. I do not doubt the veracity of the claim, but if true, the entire conspiracy theory hinges on it and is proven by it.

1. Was the route published in the paper? This alone is a gross error in security preparations.
   
2. Did the Secret Service make a change at the LAST MINUTE? Or perhaps it was a lot earlier than the last minute. Maybe the newspaper got it wrong. It could make a big difference.
   
3. How was Oswald to know of this change? If in fact it was a last minute change, that alone proves a conspiracy.
   

I would love to see evidence of some sort to back up these claims.

It's my understanding that the route was published in the paper that day, which did infuriate the Secret Service, and was a cause for minor route adjustments.

I've got a good story as well, although not a personal one.

I read recently that JFK was attempting to engage in marital activity with a woman not his wife at the White House pool a few weeks before the assassination. In the process of being rebuffed, he injured his back, causing him to wear a back brace for support. Where this ties in to Nov. 22 is that if you look at the Zapruder film, when JFK is first shot through the throat, he does not fully slump over; the back brace he is wearing is holding him up! This left him in perfect position for the head shot, which killed him.
