Prophecy Scholars, What End Times Signs are Playing Out Now?
Enquiring Mind (no pun intended)

I found myself in a lengthy discussion the other day about the possibility that we are in or near the Biblical end times, and I'd love to hear the thoughts of some of you who have studied this issue.
What end times signs do you think have played out or are playing out now or will play out in the very near future?
Respectful request: this thread is intended to be a discussion between those who do believe in the Bible and its end times prophecies. While anyone is of course free to post, I sure would appreciate it if those of you who don't believe in God would not clutter up the thread with accusations of superstition and such. Thanks...

You are welcome "G". There are many wonders and mysteries in the bible. Some years ago I got into doctrines and the three dispensations of Revelation. It will really open your mind. I don't pretend to say that I understand everything that I know. LOL!!
Sometime when I get confused, I refer to these verses:
Matthew 15
7. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Thanks for the kind flag -- but it made me wince at my typo's! And so --
peoplw = people
prophectic = prophetic
"I do can tell" = "I can tell"
neccessary = necessary
My best, though pathetic, excuse, is that I was at work and in a big hurry. But STILL...

They've already done this on animals. We may be next. All I can say to the naysayers on this thread, wait and see. That's the real proof in the pudding. America IS on the verge of revival so perhaps some of you will know the truth and it will set you free. I do hope so. Some of you are in danger of losing your eternal life because of your bitterness and hatred of Christ (read: Christians). I feel sad for you.

How can you say that when the attributes of Allah and the attributes of Jehovah are so different? How can you say that when the messages of both books are so contradictory?

How can you say that when the attributes of Allah and the attributes of Jehovah are so different? Um...because I don't construct reality; I merely inhabit it. It's my experience that reality does not alter itself to please me.

Why would I want to take a challenge? Is this some sort of competition to you? Whatever...
It's not competetition. It's about asking you to do more than drop your opinion without sticking for a discussion.
You think that God is simply god, but I say that He is the very God of the Bible. You attempt to generalize God, but I challenged you to a specific discussion that the Bible makes concerning Christ's role in the creation, as He is God.
It's lame of you to come to this thread and make comments about who God is, but not stick around to discuss it.
You see nothing weak about that?
To: Romulus
Perhaps it is, if only in the same sense that the Jesus of the apocryphal gospels is meant to be understood as the same person as Our Lord. It may be useful to think of the Koran as simply the last and strangest of the apocrypha. If He is the same, why does He tell us that Christ is the only way to salvation in one book, and then invent an entirely different religion in another?
Why does one book consider Isaac to be the son of promise, while the other credits Ishmael. That doesn't match. If the two books are authored by the same "god", then he is a liar.
The Bible leaves no room to accept the Koran. The Koran does not teach that Christ is the only way to God. That means tha the Koran is a lie.
That's not too difficult for me to understand, and I'm not a rocket scientist.
To: Romulus
Which is exactly why the two are not able to be reconciled.
Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

If you would read #172, you would see that Mississippi Man requested that I stick to the subject and end my replies. I did, besides, why would I want to discuss something with you that I admittedly know very little about?
To: AlGone2001; agrace
We're not in disagreement. Who's trying to reconcile the Koran (or any other apocryphal text) with the Bible? All I said is that the apocrypha are full of some pretty nutty ideas about who Jesus is, and the Father too. I am not here as an apologist for Islam just because I point out a fact of semantics and language, OK?
BTW, I agree that the Koran is a lie. "Apocryphal" is a polite way of saying so. Sorry if this escaped your notice.

Ok, gotcha. Your intent was hard to read without knowing your stand on the apocrypha.

Allah is NOT another name for Jehova.
Arab Christians disagree with you.Arab Christians....isn't that an oxymoron?
To: The Bard
No. There are lots of Arab Christians. There have been Arab Christians since the very first days of the Church. Read the Bible. Read the newspapers. Visit

Zechariah 14:12-15 -- Hagee interprets the plague to be the use of nuclear weapons, which can surely cause a man's tongue and eyes to be consumed before his corpse hits the ground. Sounds more like Ebola to me, especially the bleeding from mucosae.

I recently posited the idea that the Anti-Christ might be a clone, a designed super-human. Such would indeed be a beast, not created by the gift of God in conception and might even be incubated to "delivery" lacking the love of a mother. Serial Number 666? Might the stem cells be synthetic?
It would be absolutely appropriate for AC to be a man-made creation in his own image and by the folly of his own hand, don't you think?
To: Carry_Okie
I suppose that might be on the order of a virgin birth. The AC would try to duplicate the birth of Christ.

Let's think here, France has more mosques than Christian churches, the same can be said for alot of European nations, Christianity is almost dead in Britian I hear, Muslim populations are spreading into every nation.
The bible relates that Satan will make war with the saints and overcome them, a one world government will be in place at the time, Saints will be tried before the court and beheaded for their testimony of Jesus.
How much influence do Muslim nations and their oil money have in the U.N., is the U.N. friendly to Christians? is there, can there, be any relationship? You tell me.
