I want to emphasize this quote from Secretary Rumsfeld, for all those who think Colin Powell is a detriment to the administration:

But I think there's been lots of reports that Colin Powell -- your paper had for every other week for about two months wrote that Colin Powell and I were in opposite camps. That's just baloney.

Q: It was a good story, though. (Miss Marple points out that with this question the newspaper is saying that they don't care if things are TRUE, just if they make a good story!!!)

Rumsfeld: It was a hell of a story. I don't know where they got it. Talk about a world class thumb-sucker, that was it. But I talk to Colin Powell probably three times a day, we meet at least once a day and we -- needless to say, we don't agree on everything, just like I don't agree with my wife on everything, but we have a very good relationship. The administration is as knitted together and works as effectively together as I've ever seen an administration. And I've been in several. And Paul Wolfowitz is not some sort of a rogue element careening around in the society. He's my deputy, and he's a brilliant, very responsible, thoughtful person who's been an enormous help to me and an enormous help to the president.

As I have said and as you have said, this entire State/Defense battle was cooked up by those who have as their primary goal the division and destruction of this administration. People who believed that story and who have ranted about Powell need to get a clue!!

Yep, you were one of the first to point that out Miss Marple. I think the media has been guilty of making up a lot of the news lately.

Good thing the Bush team is so strong and they don't fall for it.

I am going to bump this story several times today. I want to make certain that a lot of people read this...although I am sure I will be told that I am mistaken about Powell.

You have that right! We have been pointing this out for weeks and now maybe some of the people will believe us! Freepers need to remember that the press for the most part is our "enemy!"
