A Freeper's observation: The fight for survival in our own hometown USA

Posted on 11/20/2001 10:37:02 AM PST by E.G.C.

HOWDY FREEPERS!!!

And happy Thanksgiving from this end. Over the last couple of days I've been busy entertaining guests and as such have not had time to do a whole lot of stuff here except to acknowledge some aritcles by others which have been brought to my attention.

I did however notice an article that was bumped yesterday by a freeper and the article was about the Senate minority leader Tom Daschele. And as I was scrolling through the responses, I did notice a fellow who was an apparent DU Disruptor who seemed to have a cow about having the truth told about one of his idols.

It seems like these kind have become rather apparent lately here on FR from all the threads I've seen. A lot of what I'm seeing pretty much verifies what I'm reading about Daschele and his ilk. Obviously thee people do not know how to handle differing viewpoints being expressed and what these disruptors are seeking to do is misuse this forum by trying to entrap conservatives into a situation where they can hit that abuse button. Why? becuase with these DU types, any opinion that differs from their way of thinking qualifies for the abuse button.

Apparently, that's how Democrats run the goverment when they are in charge. What we are witnessing in the Senate is a deliberate and intentional misuse and abuse of authority by Daschele and his Democrat ilk. Their attitude is that we as conservatives have absolutely no right to exist in our own communities and they are seeking in anyway they can to have those who don't share their way of thinking banished from their own communities and sent up to prision. I'm referring of course to the conservative publisher who was ordered by Daschele to reveal his sources or he would send him to prision.

NOW YOU SEE, FOLKS? THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST RIGHT HERE!!!!

I titled this article the fight for survival in our own hometown USA and that is what it is. The fight for survival. The key to our freedoms to exist in our communities and live our lives the way we choose is to exist sure the Democrats never ever gain any kind of goverment authority. When you go to the Democrat message boards, it will be obvious to you why.

Part of making sure this never happens is voting out all the liberal, moderate and progressive Republicans. That includes the likes of John McCain, Jim Jeffords and many others. RINO's in other words. We are in a major battle for our survival, our right to exist in our own communities. Our right to express our opinions without fear of retribution. The Clinton administration showed themselves to be very poor sports about being criticized. There are unfortunately some Clinton loyalists among us. I personally do not see this nation surviving under this kind of administration.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS:
This country's freedom is all about diversity of viewpoints, open debate and the exchange of beliefs and ideas, sutff which regrettably the Democrats do not seem to believe in. We must keep the Democrats from gaining any kind of goverment authority. If we don't, this nation will most certainly not live to see another decade.
Regards.

...diversity of viewpoints, open debate and the exchange of beliefs and ideas...
Are you advocating a one-party political system? Your suggestions seem to be the antithesis of the above quote. If you "get rid" of the Dems and all the moderate Republicans, who is left to present a diversity of viewpoints?

Well, no I'm not advocating one party political system. There's nothing wrong with having a two party split of goverment. really it's preferred to having one party dominate the whole thing. When you look at it, conflicting parties running our goverment usually means that nothing gets done.

Where conservatives like myself start getting a little edgy is when we allow Democrats to run our whole goverment. I think the reasons are pretty obvious. I see nothing wrong with a split of power or for that matter any other party running Washington. I do however have a problem with giving both houses of Congress and the White House all to Democrats like what happened in 92 through 94. This party has shown far more contempt for the Constitution than anyone else. Anything else would be just fine by me. If we have one party running Congress and another running the White House than it would mean that nothing gets done.

President Bush should IMHO have the power to overrule Daschele and pardon the newspaper person if he does get put in jail if he doesn't have one. Clearly the authority of the Democrats in Washington needs to be undermined for the sake of this country.
Regards.

I still think we can have a diversity of viewpoints regardless of who's in charge but the only that's gonna happen is if we avoid putting people in charge who do not know how to handle the idea of these viewpoints being expressed. Like XXX42 for example.

Let me one more time bump this article for more replies and this time I'll do so with another thought.

Now, as I mentioned, this country's freedom is all about of diversity of viewpoints. The problem here is you have liberals, progressives and moderates who insist that conservatives compromise on their beliefs and go along with their way of thinking. You see, this misguided idea is based on a misguided premise that liberals are the presumpitve authority and conservatives are the interlopers and that when we win something, the idea here is that well it's a mistake and it'll be corrected in due course.

It's like the Right-to-Work issue here in Oklahoma. We won it by a 54 to 45 margin but see the other side seems to think that well, that's a mistake, the public is really not for it and we'll take it to court and the judge will decide that the people really didn't want it and throw it out.

See folks, the reality here is that liberals live in their own dream world. They think the vast majority of Americans think like them and when elections like this don't produce the desired result, well they assume wrongdoing and try to overturn the results because you see folks, they are the presumptive authority.

The bottom line here folks, and whether you like Rush or not he is right on this:

YOU JUST CAN'T GET ALONG WITH LIBERALS!!!

Now folks, that's the absolute truth and we as conservatives had best realize it if we are going to win this battle for the hearts and minds of the American public.
Regards.
