It took you six whole days to figure this out?

"and those who hold a more right-winged view than the average libertarian seem to be kicked out." Au contraire. I am not a Libertarian and consider myself more right leaning than your average Libertarian and have not been kicked out.
Nor do I expect to be, even if I do have to take some left leaning Liberal wanker to task.

Just because one holds to a higher power, and wishes to shape society in accordance with the laws of Almighty God, does not make one a Taliban Milita member. Close enough.

When you've spent more than 6 days here, you might grow some thicker skin.

Has anyone noticed that the Liberal influence has spread here into Free Republic. I notice that less and less Conservatives seem to post here, and more and more Libertarians seem to be...Libertarians are not liberals.
Because the liberal democratic candidates support things that hurt America. Abortion, Gun Control, Ect....
Show me ONE libertarian who has ever supported gun control. And libertarians are a mixed bag when it comes to abortion - and many libertarians here are against it.
You whine about libertarians and then slander them with generalizations? Seems the REAL problem is that you can dish it out but you can't take it...

Ack! Libertarians are not Liberal. Liberal are socialists. Libertarians are the opposite of socialists. However, cultural conservatives, at least the kind that want government to prohibit porn, drugs, immigrants, foreign trade, etc are SOCIALISTic and are closer to Liberals in that regard than Libertarians would ever be.
Libertarians are consistently anti-socialistic. Cultural conservatives are as socialistic as liberals, just in different topics.

Republicans and/or Conservatives are not monolithic. While I am not a Libertarian I share beliefs with them on certain issues. I like Alan Keyes and I like George W. Bush. I support the Confederate flag and yet supported the Gov. of Illinois when he put a moratorium on the death penalty to review its application by race. My Governor was a Baptist preacher, Christian, Conservative, and Republican yet has serious concerns about the War on Drugs as do I. I am a huge supporter of the 2nd Amendment but I am just as huge a supporter of the 1st Amendment (even for speech I do not like). I like Harry Potter and am pro-Life.
It could be that lots of Republicans don't fall into neat Fallwellian categories and that Conservatives are not as stereotypical as portrayed.
I've found that most Freepers are primarily concerned with the Constitution of the United States more than social policies. Thats not a bad thing.

You hit the nail on the head when you said shape society.America is not about shaping society, thats what the freedom of churches do.Your church is not my church, you will not tell me what I can or cannot look at.You are free to believe and worship whomever or whatever you like, but don't tell me I gotta fall in line.

Whew, thank goodness this is only a "What's wrong with FR thread". For a minute there I thought it was going to be another "Harry Potter is the anti-Christ" thread. Thanks.

Just because one holds to a higher power, and wishes to shape society in accordance with the laws of Almighty God, does not make one a Taliban Milita member. No. But it might make you intolerant of people who disagree with your moral/religious beliefs. Do you have a right not to be offended?
To: FF578
Christian Conservatives like you and I make up a pretty good chunk of FR from my experience. You just have to be prepared to duel with the Libertarians if you want to opine here. They may have a plurality here...slightly.
But there are plenty of others....Paleos, Liberal Disruptors, Chrisitan Identity/National Alliance Kooks (who get banned promptly), Jewish Conservatives, Black Conservatives, Non-Objectivist Constitutionalists, .....it goes on and on but you are correct. The two loudest voices are our camp and theirs. Plus the founders and moderators are admittedly Constitutionalists/Libertarians...but it is their site.
Just hang in there. Quite a few Libertarians no matter how misguided are actually quite bright and well read. It is possible to learn something from them....remember they are convinced that they carry the mantle of the Founding Fathers and folks like us are really more facist than conservative.
And to think the media views the right as monolithic...they outta spend more time here.

I was contacted by LIBERAL email, early last year, when the Liberals wanted me to sign a petition to get the UN to impose sanctions on the Taliban, because of their Burqua policy, etc. I tried to point out to the above list that sanctions don't work-- they said I must be crazy. Now the Liberals aren't happy because the Conservatives decided to actually DO something about the problem.

Try reading the book,"What It Means To Be A Liberatarian". I am not one, but they have some good points. It is good to study the lay of the land.

All those who are newbies here are considered disruptors, and those who hold a more right-winged view than the average libertarian seem to be kicked out. Well, I'm a newbie but don't consider myself a disrupter. And since I am new, I can't comment on what it was like previously. I will comment, however, on the fact that there are quite a few "liberal" opinions here which sound more like the democRat stance than what I would call the traditional Republican platform (I'm only a newbie here, not in the political/civic involvement forum). And I can agree with you, studies have shown women do vote more on the liberal side than men. And more single parent women are democRats, as well (I fit in the former, not latter category). That's my .02 worth.
