The club isn't discriminating against the doctor based on gender, race, or religion. The law doesn't say a private club can't discriminate based on profession. He's SOL. He doesn't count when it comes to discrimination. Course, once he gets the ACLU on his case, it'll end up at the Supreme Court. The only thing this quack has in his favor is having an Hispanic surname.

I was not suggesting that I thought that the club was discriminating against him based on his race. It seems as though they are keeping him out based on their dislike of his occupation.
I was merely questioning why it is illegal for a private club to discriminate based on race, sex, or religion. A private club should be allowed to choose its members based on any criteria it wishes...including such un-PC criteria as race, etc.
