Frankly, your statement is ignorant. It reveals a complete cluelessness concerning the U.S.'s interests in this region. It will do us no good to leave Afghanistan in a power-vacuum, which will quickly be filled by jerk-offs just as bad, just as ruthless and just as anti-American as the Taliban.

And that, in turn, will leave Afghanistan a fertile ground for continuing terrorist operations. Such corrupt governments as typically ensconce themselves in places like Afghanistan or Lebanon don't care who their "friends" are as long as they bring cash.

That's how al-Qaeda ended up there in the first place. Pay attention.

my statement is that i do not agree with keeping the taliban out of kabul. there will be plenty of time, with the help of the UN, to set up a government that will be more representative of all tribes.
