Welcome to FR. Don't pay them no mind. They are just jealous. ;)
Sounds like you had quite an adventure. Glad to see a group of people responding to incidents such as this. If this had been the norm over the past few decades, we would be in a lot better shape as a nation! God bless and thanks for the first-hand post.

Does Canada have some ferocious anti-gun laws?
"If you are afraid to carry an unlicensed firearm, there is an effective substitute. I would recommend a can of hornet spray and a lighter. If you have a problem with someone in a confined space like this and must resort to any means to protect yourself, the combination of these two can be used to project a long stream of flame at the assailant. This spray is intended to be used on a hornet's nest from a safe distance, so when you use it in this manner you can probably strike someone a full subway car length away from you without having dispersal effects from the flame on adjoining passengers."

If you lived in the right Council district (Spanish Harlem), you could have voted for a convicted murderer in the primary. Now you can vote for Bernie Goetz today in NYC. What is it Cindy Adams always says?

early this morning the arresting officer arrived at my home to serve me a SUBPEONA to appear b4 the Grand Jury so they can lock this guy up. I guess at part of an effort to convince me taht it is really iomportant that I show up - he mentioned that the guy has a previous murder convicting.
Can't believe you'd accuse someone of making something like this up -- for what purpose?
Beats me. Just doesn't ring true to this skeptic.
But nice to see that last night's arresting officer had a subpeona ready for you early this morning. Quick.

V's wife - All excellent points. I have an uncle who is a transit detective. (and it's transit that normally handles something like this.)
Fuji here should just respond with the precinct number and cops name and I'll be back here and not only apologize but write a glowing note on his heroism. (after a couple of phone calls.)

WOW!
The worst thing to happen to me on the 1 train lately has been a guy throwing up all over himself in my car. I notice more homeless guys begging for money again.
Theeeerrrrrrreee BaaaacckkkkkkKK!!!!!!!

That way he can tell the Grand Jury, and trial jury if it gets that far, that he is appearing to testify because he was subpenaed as opposed to being biased against the guy.

Hey...isn't it illegal for a non-cop to carry a gun in New York? Sounds like NYC needs more gun control!! (\sarcasm)

I agree that FR is a great place and understand healthy skepticism... so thank you for your well recieved apology.
The point of the story was not self-congratulations (Despite the kind words from many Freepers -I actually did very little) - my point (small, obvious one though it may be) is that the events of 9/11 have been effectively a call to arms for a lot of crazy dangerous people and that we all need to be just a little more aware.

Yes, it does. But it also has a per-capita rate of cretins that is much lower than New York.
To: Fujiwara
Glad this guy had no plan. Take Care.

Use of a wasp defrazmylizer as an anti-cretin device takes either an evil mind, a high degree of desperation, or both.
