Nah, this would cause major, major nuking over there. They don't want to do anything that will cause us to nuke. They surprised us with WTC and it took time to respond, in their favor. With time, heads got cooler. Now if those guys do anything to a bunch of kids at Disneyworld especially involving nuclear waste, there would be no doubt as to the response. And crying kids in afghanistan wouldn't make a bit of difference.

"Nah, this would cause major, major nuking over there."

Have to wonder, if the Ben Laden types got actually got their evil, slimy hands on a nuke, wouldn't their best bet be to set it off in Kabul and blame us? It is clear that they consider the Afghans to be just cannon fodder for Allah, and it would certainly set things off in the ME in a big way.

Yeah but... all of this is incremental damage, slowly adding problems a little at a time (the raid, anthrax, blows to the economy etc.). Our govenment and military may not feel free to send major nuclear responses to all of this because, except for Afganistan, they don't appear to place the blame where it really lies-- at the feet of most Muslim countries where the Bin Laden faction is strong. There seems to be little no attention paid to the obvious source of the anthrax invasion: Iraq. But what about the terrorist supporters in Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and of course, Palestine?

The Arabs are slowly putting our economy in a deep hole and if America goes broke and enters a real depression, the rag heads will celebrate, although I cannot understand why as we are their major source of dollars for oil. If our airlines go under, that will be a terrible hit. Consumer purchasing and auto sales are going down fast in every sector. Now we see slowing manufacturing reflecting waning sales.

What I can't figure out is why the rest of the world still does not seem to "get it." (The unholy UN is still asking us to stop the bombing!). Do we "get it?" No, we don't. I'm very frustrated because I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we are definitely in a big, dark and long one.

Everything you have said is a reason they WOULD do it.

You've gotta be kidding! Just who would we nuke? They are all over the globe. If the nukes start flying, we're all goners.
