reminds me of my kids' drawings after the new york attack

glad the kids weren't suspended for putting to paper what they thought
(and from personal experience, i can tell you that would have happened
had they drawn these at school prior to 911, what with soldiers and guns).

That is wonderful what you're having the kids do; our brave and awesome fighting men and women need this. It reminds them what they're fighting for. It's also a good way for the kids to deal with all of this. There are several dads in my neighborhood that are Guard. My sons' bedroom has become the "situation room" and they have a map of the middle east (came out of one of my Desert Storm Books) they use to plot strategy. They also patrol the neighborhood. They're more calm than I am.
