I am disturbed at what I saw tonight. There was no specific information offered but Ashcroft appeared very ashen and serious. I have a feeling the government is sitting on some pretty scary information right now. I'm not sure that it is a good idea for President Bush to go to the game tomorrow night. But of course, he's going to go now that it's been announced to the whole world. If he backs out of the game now, it won't send a very good message.

As I watched this announcement all I could think of was that tomorrow night you have both the World Series and Michael Jordan at Madison Square Garden in New York.

I concur with you and the others...it was disturbing.
The only other explanation I can muster is that Ashcroft lost the argument about making this 'announcement' and was doing so reluctantly.

There goes "trick or treating"...the kids will just have to celebrate with a Halloween party at home. That's what we use to do as kids so if it's good enough for the "Goose" it's good enough for the descendents. Semper Fi, Mike

I had the feeling since when they announced GW was going to the game, that it was a ruse. That there was info that Yankee Stadium was a target, and the govt threw GW going to get the rats scurrying. And they picked up something today from that scurrying.

If he backs out of the game now, it won't send a very good message.Who cares? He should not go. Period. It's too risky. After what they've announced, it would be irreponsible to let him go. DON'T GO GWB! BACK OUT!
