Oh, and what gives you the authority to say Rick's not a prophet? He may not have the 'office of the prophet' that Wilkerson has, but he does have a prophetic gift. I believe he hears from God.

This country needs to see the error of its way and repent for the sins of the nation. It's an individual thing, I guess. Ok, ok already! IT'S MY FAULT that the mad arabs killed 3000 people with planes! ALL MY FAULT!
The arabs flew the planes into the Towers because in 2001:
I swore 15,000 times.
I looked at porno webpages
I didn't go to church.
I took two packages of crackers for lunch instead of 1
I drank beer 'til I was drunk
I didn't keep the Sabbath Holy.
I got a tattoo
I gave someone the finger
It's all my fault!
To: Skooz
That's right. He has the gift of a prophet and has suffered greatly because of it. People don't like the message so they 'kill' the messenger. Happens around here a lot. May God abundantly bless him for his courage and obedience.

His purposes for our lives or our nation. It's always been a mystery and always will be Then how can you pretend to 'know' about God's purpose on 9/11?
Maybe we are His Godly Army raised up against the arab.

I had to scroll up two years to find what my state of mind was that day. I have recently added this: the atrocity was committed by immoral, godless Islamists and the efficacy of their act is not only null, but means the eventual end of them and their cunning and deceit. They cannot win anything, but they can certainly lose all.

Both. Two great sins of our nation are homosexuality and abortion because of the laws made to provide for them. You can ask God's forgiveness for the sins of our nation as well as for your own personal sins.

I tell you what...and I mean this in a respectful and kind way: Read Jeremiah and Ezekiel and get back to us, ok?

We're not talking about individual sins here but the sins of a nation such as abortion, homosexuality, things that the lawmakers have said are A-OK and are a slap in God's face. Don't get your panties in a twist, chookter.

I mean this in a respectful and kind way: Read Jeremiah and Ezekiel and get back to us, ok? I don't see the part in there where God ordered arabs to crash plane into the WTC.
Either you believe in the Bible and believe it is the Word of God or you don't. I believe it. You prefer to twist it.
You cannot know God's Will, so stop pretending like you do.
To: chookter
No reason to be hateful, chookter. I just believe that God reveals Himself through His Word. I twist nothing. I just accept the Word for what it is.
I am not entirely convinced that God took His hand of covering away and allowed the terrorists to attack the US in that way. But I have the utmost respect for David Wilkerson and everything he says. He is a man of God and the wise listen to him.

I don't believe in 'collective sin'. Nations do not have souls or free will.
Nations were not raised in God's image with an indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

I just believe that God reveals Himself through His Word. I twist nothing. I just accept the Word for what it is. Then write me the verses where God sends jet planes with arabs to kill Americans.
To: chookter
I never said He did. You are the one twisting words here.

I don't believe in 'collective sin'. Then you do not believe God's Word as revealed in the prophets. Like I said, read Jeremiah and Ezekiel and get back to us.

I never said He did. You are the one twisting words here. OK then, show me the verses where He said:
"I'm sending jet planes full of arabs to crash into the WTC and Pentagon because America is evil."
To: chookter
If you would actually read my posts you would see that I in no way said that God did that.

To: chookter
To the contrary, both books deal with God's judgment on a nation (several nations, really) because of collective sin. The judgements were often harsh and even catastrophic.
They are quite relevent to this discussion.
