That fastball along the inside corner of the plate is just deadly. I haven't seen pitching this good since Tommy John killed the Yanks in game 1 of the Dodgers / Yanks series in 78. Unfortunately the Yankees beat L.A in Game 3,4,5 and 6. BTW, where is Roger Clemens? Is he too good to visit beautiful Arizona until he is scheduled to pitch?

He is so pale, he really oughta take his bratty little welps for a hike in the Superstitions (and leave em there)

Have to go now, its time for Soprano's and Band of Brothers.

GO D'BACKS!!!!

I still like the 'fastball into a low-flying pigeon" play better... :)

seems to me he laid off the fastball tonight. Or am I wrong? Haven't seen him on TV all season, so I don't know. In his Seatle days it was all fastball-splitter-homerun. Johnson mixed it up like a chef's salad tonight. I thought it was stupendous.

I still missed the heat. But those 96 mph 9th-inning fastballs were UNREAL.

God, how baseball is the greatest sport around.

PS Football don't ever start 'till November.
