Do you want me to admit that I'm scared???? Is that what it is? OK, I'm scared. I'm scared for my country, my fellow Americans and the future of my children. I don't want my children to die a horrid death at the hands of some nutcase. If that's paranoid, scared or whatever else then I guess I'm that.

You still haven't found any courage I see, but you have entered into full panic mode. You're not only acting irrational, illogical and irresponsible, you're being ill-mannered too. My screen name honors a great American, who I personally campaigned for on three different occasions, in 1975, 1981 and 1984. Your personal attacks against my choice of that screen name is utterely ridiculous.
I believe in a smaller federal gov't too, but right now, America is at WAR with international terrorism and that should be the focus of all good patriotic American's. Right now it's my focus.
At least MJ1288 had a decent and rational response to my questions and he/she had a good point; to give it a chance.
You also accuse me of a personal attack. You need to go back and read your original post on this thread if you want to see personal attacks on people who simply want to question and discuss what's going on with our government. Last time I checked, it was still legal.
Excuse me...but considering YOU'RE the one proposing that giving up Constitutional freedoms is necessary for safety, I submit that YOU are the one who has entered into "full panic mode".

Focus on the truth, Reagan Man.
We are not at war.
That would require a Declaration of War.
We don't have one.
What we have is another "War on (blank)"
Fill in the blank, Reagan Man.
Just like the "War on Crime,"
just like the "War on Drugs,"
what we have is an attack on our freedom.
We have laws already in place to combat terrorism.
We don't need to give up any rights to protect ourselves.
In fact, if we give up our rights,
we won't be able to protect ourselves.
