Well, looking at your contributions here on this thread it speaks volumes for the size of your mind. I am no Fed Gov lover, I love my country, and when we have foriegners coming to this country and using the freedoms we have to kill us, I think it's time we do something about it. I don't agree with some of this bill, but to sit and do nothing just invites more deadly attacks. These terrorist were using the net to send their messages, they took advantage of our poorly enforced immigration laws, and they murdered 5000 innocent people. What would you suggest we do? or will you just flame away

Nice strawman. I don't see any of the people who are opposed to this legislation recommending that we sit and do nothing. As a matter of fact, there have been plenty of calls to deal with the pool of non-citizens who are most likely to be terrorists -- citizens of muslim countries who entered the US on visas. Those visas can be cancelled by the Secretary of State without cause and that would violate the rights of not one single person.

I would suggest, MJY1288,
that we inforce the laws we have,
instead of violating the rights of citizens.

Our "politically correct" government allowed this attact to happen.
We couldn't show dis-respect to countries known to be sponsoring terrorists
by keeping out that countries citizens, now could we?

Our government let people come over here
and learn skills that could be used against us.
Does that "provide for the common defense?"

You worry about poorly inforced immigration laws?
The men who crashed the planes were here legally.
Legal residents from countries known to sponsor terrorism.

I don't believe that's a reason
to tell good American citizens
to abandon their rights.

A mindless cheering for more intrusive laws will NEVER solve this problem. Enforcing the Constitution AND Bill of Rights WILL solve it. When WE, THE PEOPLE, are able to provide for our own defense and when the government envisioned by the Founders (at least the Anti-Federalist branch) does its Constitutionally-mandated job, instead of all these UN- and EXTRA-Constitutional activities, then we can look at giving any extra tools which they can VERIFY a need for and they can demonstrate that the tools will do the job and will be promptly relenquished at a specific time so that they can never be misused against US, the Citizens of these United States.
