Re chlorox killing Anthrax spores:

As I understand it, the trick is to get the spores to germinate first, so the resulting bacteria can then be killed by the chlorine. I could be wrong. More on this thread:

I just stumbled across this thread. I printed out the info on the products and will take copies down to our local HAZMAT guys.

You might be interested in the link in post#43, too. There are some recipes for a similar decontaminant in there.

Thanks for the info. I think all of us need to be sure that our local government emergency agencies have as much of this type of information as possible. Let’s don’t assume that the local city and county people know more about the bio-war poisons than we do. A very good thing about the commercial Sandia product is that it is designed to kill many bio-hazards and suppress some of the non-bio chemical poisons as well. This might be a good opportunity for conservatives to make favorable contacts with our local governments and emergency personnel.
