Sorry for the short notice about this event, but this coming Saturday, Students for the Second Amendment (SF2A) and Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) will be hosting the 2001 Lone Star Double Barrel Classic in San Antonio, Texas. For more specific details about the event, click here. Susan Howard, formerly of Dallas and currently a NRA Board Member will be at the event along with Texas State Representative and staunch 2nd Amendment defender Suzanna Gratia-Hupp.
Both SF2A and YAF are organizing students and young people to defend their 2nd Amendment rights and to enjoy the sport of shooting at the same time. Please try to attend the event if you are in the area and show your support for these young people and for these groups that are trying to spread the right message during this time.

The future of your gun rights is here. Events like this should be going on everywhere. This is one way to fight back against the anti-gun indoctrination provided in most schools.

Agreed. These groups are looking to expand nationwide. They have to do it one step at a time. Unfortunately, most schools try to stifle student groups and make groups very difficult to get off the ground and many students get discouraged. More events like this will take place when enough students from everywhere get in contact and try to start these groups. We as Freepers can help them in many ways.

The next time they schedule something like this, I hope they look at Shooting Sports USA magazine and not have it the same weekend as the State Highpower Matches in Waco.

You're right. With the irrational "Zero Tolerance" policy in the schools, I imagine any student trying to organize a shooting event would be suspended or expelled.

Where are all the Second Amendment FReepers? The car racing video game thread is getting more action tonight. If we don't get students and women supporting gun rights, the Brady bunch will win.
