I was busy installing an internet Router at one of my client's offices today when my eye fell on what appeared to be a glossy magazine.
My client is an optometrist and the 'magazine' was actually a catalog from Marchon Eyewear, a manufacturer of eyeglass frames.
On the cover was what I at first took to be one of the tackiest and most inappropriate advertising efforts I have ever seen.
On closer inspection, I noticed the publication date! I confirmed with the Doctor and his staff that they had indeed received the catalog in August of 2001, a full month before the World Trade Towers were destroyed! This prophetic artwork had to have been done months before the publication and distribution date.
I borrowed the catalog and took it home to scan for FreeRepublic...

The inside flyleaf of the catalog is a double fold out page with a full copy of the artwork without the over laying images and text.
The recto page had more advertising about their "flexon" line of memory metal frames. I got the impression from the text and the list of broadcast and cable TV networks across both pages that this was a frame of a proposed television advertisement that would appear on those networks.
Has anyone seen this advertisement?
Or has it been permanently shelved?

From the description it's the same one they had been running on TV......HOWEVER this loaded as a 'fractured frame' so I CAN'T SEE IT!

Now I can see the pic in reply 1. It looks like the building is flexible and can bend out of the way to avoid being hit by an airplane. Clever for an ad before Sept. 11 - bad taste afterwards.
