Works for me. I was born in 1962 and identify fully with cultural artifacts such as the Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family. I can still remember watching them on Friday nights and pretending I was Danny Partridge. Now I watch the reruns and identify more with Reuben Kincaid. Pretty sad outcome to my life, huh?

Excuse me but old Star Trek, while being a bit dated, was hardly badly written for the most part. It is no mistake that people still talk about Kirk, Spock, Bones, and Scotty when they talk about Star Trek and not the characters from the later shows with better special effects.

For the record, I come from right in the middle of the period in question. And I tend to draw the line from 1963 to 1968 -- roughly between the Kennedy assissination and the "Summer of Love". That's where I tend to see most people clustered that are of like attitude from the period. Though I'm sure there are exceptions.

Brady Bump

At some point in the brady generation hip huggers were popular. If seems they have made a comeback. In fact WAY TOO MUCH stuff I grew up with is now fashionable again.

YUK.

Most who were born at the tail end of the baby boom - 1956 to 1964 or the beginning of GenX - 1965 to 1970 - feel we are not part of those generations. Therefore, it has been decided, we will be forever know as THE BRADY BOOMERS

Sorry, as someone born in 1960, since we are wedged between the Boomers and the Gen Xers, I prefer to be called a wedgie - as it is befitting the sensation I get contemplating payment of the Boomers Social Security and then the subsequent abandonment by Gen Xers once they have enough votes to shut off the geezers above them.

Absolutely perfect name. I have always called us the "in-betweeners". Now you have given us a moniker of accuracy and eternal memory. Many thanks. Those born between '57 and '67 didn't have to face the Draft and had to graduate High School before the Reagan Revolution. Campy and cynical, what a combo! Hurrah for us BradyBoomers!

muleboy hope ar/galveston tx 39 and holding for dear life.

I AM a boomer (not proud of it, just a fact). My wife was born in 1962, and I always felt that you couldn't be a real boomer unless you were an adolescent when the Beatles came to America. If you missed out on that event as an adolescent experience, then you really can never get the whole boomer thing (which was great, until the commies took it over and ruined it in tha late '60s, like they ruined everything else they ever touched).

Anyway, I'm glad someone finally came up with a term that fits my wife's generation. (Personally, I don't think I ever watched ONE Brady Bunch episode).

I was hanging out in the womb when Kennedy was killed. Remember it like it was yesterday.

The night I was born, the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan. Remember that too.

I actually do remember the moon walks. Not the first one, but a couple from around 1970-71. Watched them on a big, lousy television in Catholic school, just hoping that Sister Catherine wouldn't think of any reason to smack me.

Somebody has to say it:

The Brady's sucked!
The Partridges sucked!
Little House sucked!
Mash (the TV show) sucked!
Happy Days sucked!
All of those other ABC sitcoms sucked too!

Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Newhart, Sanford and Son were all written much better.

So there, take that!

How many rooms were in the Brady Bunch's home? Does the living room/Dining room count as one room or two? 10. 11 if you count the attic which was turned into Greg's room later on in the series.

What was Carol's nickname? Twinkles. (from the episode where she gets a visit from an old high school flame and football hero named "Tank")

What was Mike's occupation? Architect (oh man, try a hard question! :-))

How many kids were auditioned for the cast of the tv show? Including the ones who were eventually picked? 464 I believe.

In one episode, Bobby lied about knowing a pro football player. Who? Joe Namath. He lied to his friends about knowing him. In order to get Namath to come to his house, Cindy wrote a phony letter stating that Bobby was very sick and wanted to meet him.

Where did the back door in the kitchen lead to? This is kinda hard because I don't know which answer you are looking for, but there are three places it leads to...the rear entrance door, Alices room and the laundry room. (the laundry room was seen in more episodes than Alices room.)

Name the Elementary, Jr. High & High Schools that the kids attended Elementary: Clinton Avenure elementary. Jr. High is fillmore Jr. and the high school is Westdale high (where Marcia and Greg went)

How much did Greg's first car cost? 100 dollars. A beat up picece of junk (but now a 1950's collectible car!). He bought it from his friend, played by actor Charles Martin Smith better known as "Toad" from the movie American Graffitti. This is the classic episode where Mike utters the words "Caveat Emptor" (Latin for buyer beware)

What was the name of the family's pet sheepdog? Tiger. And he WASN'T a sheepdog. He was more of a terrier mix.

What was the name of the rarely seen next door neighbors on the tv show? The dittmayers (I believe this is the proper way to spell it) Pronounced : Dit Myers.

Which Little House on the Prairie cast member appeared on the Brady Bunch? Melissa Sue Anderson. (Her character name was Millicent) She gave Bobby his first kiss and he saw skyrockets.

What item in the back yard was never used once throughout the series? I THINK you are refering to the brick barbeque, BUT that answer would be wrong because it WAS used at least once in the series. Alice cooked some burgers on it. (They used dry ice to simulate the smoke.) And in another episode Mike cleaned it off in preaparation of having guests over. Whoever gave you that answer, really doesn't know his/her Brady trivia.
