This is some solid food for thought. My "spin" -- how can we as Christians hope to preserve our liberties from the rapacious appetites of the statists,
if we are already giving our children to them? As J. Gresham Machen said in 1928, "If we give the bureaucrats our children, we might as well give them everything else!"
Points to consider:
- Christians send 80+% of their kids to public schools
- Christians are not noted for having a sophisticated grasp on real-world consequences
- Christians are being fenced out of the public square, and confined to cognitive reservations.
