Personally, I am more inclined to a terrorist missile explanation of TWA 800 myself. Maybe that's just because I'm a retired lieutenant commander, but I think Kallstrom's recent listing of it with a number of terrorist incidents is significant. However, I do think it's possible that, if it was a naval mishap, knowledge of what happened was limited to a relatively small number of people, that most of them would have kept their mouths shut, and that any who didn't would have been ignored by the media. The conspiracy theories about Pearl Harbor now seem proved, and plenty of people kept silent about that for several decades.

An alternate theory of mine on mcveigh/nichols. I think they got re-recruited, and were thinking they were working undercover as part of a big investigation and sting attempt, then got set up as patsies. Various threats and drugs were then used to keep them more or less quiet. Just a pet theory, but I think it makes more sense then mcveigh deciding to do this all on his own, then seeking out islamics to work with. It just doesn't jibe with all the earlier reports of him being a flag waving dotmil guy, I don't think he would have 'worked" with radical islamics, unless ordered to. That would also help to explain the continuuing on-purpose obfuscations and cover-ups.

It also has been reported by the BBC in an article “FBI ‘Ignored Leads’ ” on 9/14/2001 that a pilot trained at the same flight school in Norman, was arrested in Minnesota over a month ago on suspicion of involvement of a terror plot. French intelligence told the FBI at that time the suspect pilot, Zacarias Moussaoui, was a high level Bin Laden lieutenant involved in a terror plot with airplanes. The French are criticizing the FBI for not following up on the French information about the pilot since hundreds of Europeans were killed in the WTC attacks and the French feel proper follow up by the FBI may have averted the attacks.

No unauthorized person can even enter a US military base and run around unsupervised, let alone learn to fly a plane on the base.

Given the false identities that some at least of the hijackers seem to have adopted, we cannot yet be sure that any of them were trained at a U.S. military base. But wouldn't people have been allowed to train -- background check or not -- if people sufficiently highly placed insisted that they should be able to train? And we're talking about a time quite late in the second Clinton administration.

I tend to agree with you. It would seem that Islamic sought him out and USED him, knowing McVeigh's hatred for the government here, they simply fed his twisted thinking encouraged him, then sat back and watched him destroy his own people, thereby leaving no trace of Islamic involvement, except that there was the incident of the Arab man who I believe was trying to leave Okc that night, this was reported by some TV news reporter that night of the OKC bombing (I think it was that night), this lady reporter stayed on this story, it went no where and that Arab threatened to sue to TV station. Seems like Police, FBI poo pooed it, or maybe not.

None of us knows the answers, this matter is so twisted I don't believe anyone could ever uncover all the goings on, just when you think you have it down, the islamic cells go off on some other tangent. If they are reaching into political activity, and we can bet they are, then our politicians are never going to tell us the truth as they would be uncovered. I am wondering today about each political leader, who took money from some of these groups to further their career, what must they be feeling? Are they traitors, could they have suspected what they were getting involved in? My answer to that question is yes they could have known if they had know Jesus.

There are no GREY areas anymore, each person has to choose, pity and prayers for those that chose to aid and abet our now known enemys. I fear some of their hearts must be very very heavy with guilt.

I have wondered for some time if Bin Laden was involved in these crimes. I also wonder if he was and the government knows this, what reason would they have for covering it up? Is it just that they didn't want us to fear? What is the possible reason? Anyone have any idea?

At best they are incompetent as Schippers says and at the worst there is someone in government that is either a mole or has an agenda designed to thwart the FBI from adequately protecting the American people.

I just want people to know the truth about these cells so at least they can protect themselves and neighbors even if the FBI cannot or won't move against these cells.

In OK we have laws permitting the publication of names of pediphiles in the locations where they are released and live so at least parents can keep their children away from the pediphiles. The public deserves to know about these terrorists for its own protection just as they have a right to know about the pediphiles.

BTW, in the Schippers interview on WRRK he also said he believes there was a missile fired at TWA 800 AND a large letter or package bomb onboard the plane that went off.

He did not offer proof or explanation so I do not know if he was speculating about the letter or pakage bomb.
