I bought a few on the dip, after the initial rally. How did everybody do?

I am holding my put options until Friday. I like the look of it. I'll recover my beginner's losses from this summer. Yea!

I did some yesterday and today.
I'm going to be very happy in a year.

Nope, although if I had more money to invest (college student) than what I inherited this year which I already put into various mutual funds, I would have bought stocks at the opening bell yesterday and then sold them after the short 200 point rally.

No, but I am researching a whole bunch right now and I like what I see. The market is truly the domain of the courageous now. On a related note, I can not wait until they find the holders who shorted all the Airline, Insurance, transportation stocks, etc. I mean the ones who sold them short RIGHT BEFORE it happened. THAT will make my day.

Intel and Cisco. Since I'm usually wrong about stocks, the rest of you may want to short them.

My dear brother and sister FReepers,
At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them. I have much I would like to say.
BUT, I cannot!
Why?
Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.
I beg you, if you have not yet donated to FreeRepublic this quarter, do so now!
"And if you have donated, God Bless You, please ping your friends, and FReep on..."
I realize you are giving to lots of Relief efforts and I encourage you to do so. But we need to help FR too. Where would we be right now without it?
If you have no money, please come and bump the Fundraiser Thread.
I would really like to reach our goal quickly so that I and the rest of the dedicated FReepers who are working the Fundraiser Threads can participate in what is undeniably the most important time in FreeRepublic's history.

I bought in the Nuke weapon sector. I expect to make a killing in a few days on the overseas market.

I bought some today, however I do not believe we have seen the bottom yet. The markets have been very orderly and there has not been any evidence of "panic selling." Losses have been moderate. IMHO, we won't see a bottom until we see some staggering declines leading up to some true panic selling on huge volume. Up till now, evewrything has been too orderly.

try ATK and DRS Two defense stocks. ATK does high ammo for the OICW and owns the assets of thikol. DRS does advanced integration for subs. These stocks just had a breakout have no overhead volume and come reccomended by IBD. A chance to make good money with the defense build up and invest in our future

I must admit that I bought over-the-counter Saf-T-Hammer (owner of Smith and Wesson) 300 shares at $.87 per share. I will now pull on my fireproof drawers to protect my assets from the flaming I am gonna get from the "let em crash and burn" folks . I will either be reaLLY happy ,or boo=hoo in the near future.......

I bought yesterday @ ~0845 CST...took a hit but am confident I will get it back.

I bought UAL at rock bottom yesterday (when it was down about 43%). Up about 8% today. I wish I could do that everyday...I'd be rich pretty quickly.

If you want to do something for the economy, do something constructive and send a check to a fund for the victims. The sharks are just going to take any money away from you until this market gets considerably lower. A good target is forty percent of the high down in the 4-5,000 range.

If I had more money, defense stocks would be #1 on my buy list. I don't see us ending fighter patrols/homeland defense anytime soon. You're gonna need more fighters/support equipment to do that, plus the increased usage of what we currently have is going to mean shorter equipment life.

I bought Sun Micro at 9.25, I gotta believe it's pretty much bottomed.(crossing my fingers)

I put in a buy order on eTrade on Sunday. I bought 100 shares of Apple (AAPL) that was executed when the market opened yesterday at 15.99... It was a "red-white&blue" stock buy - didn't really expect to make any money on it, but it was up a $1 on Monday's close. It dropped a little today, but I'm still up.

I'm just an amateur, but sounds like a steal.
