Why Arent Christians Interested in Liberty?

The silence of churches is deafening.  Whatever government says is good.  Right.  And a good prostitute always follows the money.

Only the Jews preach against the globalist tyranny.  Only the Jews warn about the American police state.  Only the Jews indict the New World Order.  Where is the sensuous church?  She avoids conspiracy theories, preaches abject obedience to every regime on earth, and rejects her own children who become uppity, and try to break away!

So here is more to make her jealous, though it is easier to enrage an Arab prostitute.

Official policy has viewed the attacks as a sequence of discrete criminal incidents. Seeing terrorism primarily as a problem of law enforcement is a mistake, because it means:

Why Pre-emptive Law Enforcement Rather than Justice Alone

* Focusing on the arrest and trial of the dispensable characters who actually carry out violent acts, leaving the funders, planners, organizers, and commanders of terrorism to continue their work unscathed, prepared to carry out more attacks.

Why National ID and Gun Control Make Sense

* Relying primarily on such defensive measures as metal detectors, security guards, bunkers, police arrests, and prosecutorial eloquence — rather than on such offensive tools as soldiers, aircraft, and ships.

Why Bloody Standoffs Occur

* Misunderstanding the terrorist's motivations as criminal, whereas they are usually based on extremist ideologies.

Why Arafat Deserved a Peace Prize

* Missing the fact that terrorist groups (and the states that support them) have declared war on the United States (sometimes publicly).

Why the ICC is Built by America

* Requiring that the U.S. government have unrealistically high levels of proof before deploying military force. If it lacks evidence that can stand up in a U.S. court of justice, as is usually the case, no action is taken. The legalistic mindset thus ensures that, in the vast majority of cases, the U.S. government does not respond, and killers of Americans pay little or no price.

This Christian cares deeply about liberty. Liberty is a key Christian principle. That is why Britain and the United States have been by far the most free nations in history. Get a grip.

I think Christians read Revelations. Remember how it ends, doesn't look good for World Trade type organisations.

As a Republican, I'd defend myself and my nation against anyone who dare attack it because it is my duty to end the suffering as quickly as possible and return to a civil society. We don't look for God to win wars for us, we wish only to be judged for what we've done by the God of Abraham, not Allah. Christians follow the words of Jesus, who taught us how to pray to the Father. He gave us the 11th Commandment (the Golden Rule), we follow it. Many churches have faithless leaders, no surprise because man aren't perfect like Jesus, they make mistakes and they sin. God knows that and loves them anyway. At the Final Trumpet, I hope the Freepers are remembered and called to glory.

My guess? They may feel that personal spiritual liberation is all that is needed. (In other words, "hey, I got mine.") Such thinking leads one to stop working toward the maintenance of civil liberty - the environment which is needed in order that more can be spiritually liberated through the hearing of the Word of God.

The premise of the article is incorrect. From that, all manner of nonsense follows.

While it is true that certain Christian prelates and clerical groups have aligned themselves with various anti-freedom movements, this is a far cry from saying that American Christians have turned their faces against freedom. Hierarchies, including the hierarchies of religious organizations, always have more common interests with one another than they do with individuals. As a non-religious example, consider how friendly the Fortune 1000 companies have been to ever more restrictive government regulation of commerce.

Christ's message was antihierarchical, even radical. He steadfastly refused to talk politics. He told us that our salvation was in our own hands and no one else's, that the priests could not deny us the Face of God by denying us admission to the Temple. If the hierarchies have forgotten this, or have conveniently chosen to ignore it in the interests of their own power and prestige, so much worse for the hierarchies. Their worldly stature will not save them.

Christ did not say, "No man shall come to the Father except through the Roman Catholic Church," or through any other hierarchical organization. He said, "No man shall come to the Father except through Me." That's why the religious hierarchy of His time hated Him so! Just a reminder to prelates everywhere, and to those who think that hierarchical altitude guarantees either sanctity or correctness.

Well said fporretto; Israel you know not of what you speak. It may not be public but plenty is being said within the walls of our worship building and you should know that our Bible tells us that we are HIS church as believers not buildings, not pastors.

My group's pastor gave a very stirring message about the love of God last Sunday. How we are commanded to love one another and to pray (heap coals on their heads; I'm sure you know that implication) for our enemies.

At the same time in a study ongoing I was compelled to state how I personally was pretty independent and would be more inclined to agree to disagree rather than just follow along with any edict the "church" elders put forth.

People who blindly follow along are similar to those who let little girls get rocks thrown at them on their way to school or fly planes into buildings for a ticket to paradise. These leaders are going to be accountable and seemingly have no clue as to what being Christ like is or what living a life that reflects a loving God.

May He have Mercy on all our souls.

Who Needs Enemies?  Christians Have Clergy!

What part do modern minister have in Israel?  Tend to your own house.  With "men" like these during the revolutionary war, America would still be a colony.  But then, we repented of that rebellion during the last election, didnt we?

So this is what the apostate churches are up to (Ba'al be praised, too):

A worthless bunch.  First Falwell says national evil is punishable by Law.  Then, its not the right time.  No wonder the teaching of the law shall come from Jerusalem.  Perhaps guilt explains their silence.  The churches have something to be afraid of.

WAKE UP! The church is asleep! Or didn't you know that? We do not know what we believe. We have not been lead by God's Holy Spirit. The church of America is full of self and not Christ. We have not searched the scriptures for ourselves, WE ARE THE LOST SHEEP that Christ talked about. Don't you know how stupid sheep are? That includes me! I know my own depravity. BUT, By his mercy He is waking us up!!

When the Lord moves on the land as He is doing now We are going to know IT'S NOT US doing it! We are no better than the Israelites in the Bible! God blessed them and they went and did there own thing!! It did not matter how much He gave them or how He blessed them! Sound Familar?

Why are you asking these obvious questions? Read the Bible and you will find ALL of the Answers. I found that I am just as Stiffnecked as the stories about the Jews in the OLD and New Testament.

For Christians who do not believe in war Read the Bible! The old Testament is full of wars and God Directing King David, at times of who to go after!
